I remember Esubio Pedroza being called the road warrior at one point of his career. He fought and won against good fighters in multiple enemy backyards and came out on top.
One of my favourite fighters .watched the Fenick fight in a pub full of of Ausses !! I was the only one rooting for Zooma . Got messy
Hi Morlocks, that’s a pretty unfair to Hagler who had to go to the UK and fight Minter to win the 160 pound title. As a rule American fighters don’t travel much though. I cannot argue that point. Cheers.
Fu-king hilarious .. here's one .. long married husband and wife in bed, both staring at ceiling .. one says to other ( could be either ) , "What's the matter ? Can't think of anyone else either .. "
Eddie Perkins was the greatest road warrior we have ever known. Beat Baby Vasquez in Mexico, beat Duilio Loi in Italy, beat Carlos Hernandez in Venezuela, beat Roberto Cruz in the Philippines, beat Bunny Grant in Jamaica, beat Angel Espada in Puerto Rico, etc., etc.
