This jerk was overpaid by DAZN from the getgo. He was paid 35 million a fight but DAZN were losing money on him! If Canelo tried to do PPV he would not be getting 35 million a fight, he would get no more then 20 million based on his ticket and gate sales. Canelo is an egotistical a$$. I hope DAZN counter sues him and gets all the money back they lost on him.

I doubt Clenelo is going to get too far. Fact is that the corona pandemic has seriously affected all sports, not least boxing. And it was common knowledge that the whole point of the DAZN deal was to make a fight with GGG. Will be interesting to see what happens.
I understand Canelo being called out on his shady contract shenanigans when fighting certain opponents(rehydration clauses), favorable scorecards, and fighting old men. But this is not Canelo’s fault at all this lays flat on DAZN trying to make a splash in the American market and guaranteeing $500 million to Canelo and GGG just to broadcast the trilogy. From the jump multiple people questioned their business model in vastly overpaying for fighters that either don’t sell(Andrade, Jacobs, Farmer) or overpaying for mismatches (GGG vs Rolls, Andrade and Farmer fights, Jacobs vs Chavez etc..) Everyone that follows boxing didn’t believe DAZN would fulfill that contract even before COVID-19..
