Lol he was smart enough to stick with Showtime who since the Dazn offer have had to pay him $60 million for his subsequent fights. Dazn would never have paid him that kind of money regardless of their promises

Anonymous source has revealed that Canelo called DAZN and DLH "suckers" and "losers" in the dressing room after the Kovalev fight.

Okay so, rumor is that apparently DAZN wanted two fights a year, and one had to be against a 'premium' fighter (meaning, someone who would also draw money). Fair enough, except the people they consider 'premium' were Oscar De La Hoya, Jorge Masvidal (the UFC fighter) and Khabib (the UFC fighter whose background is in wrestling).

I don't know if that affects the viability of Canelo's lawsuit, but I'm at least starting to see a few his frustrations. Presuming this is true, of course.

They did over pay him and they should have made him sign the fight when he signed the contract

Somewhere in the shadows holding a Motorola razr flip phone is Al Haymon trying to hold back a major hard on just thinking about signing a free agent Canelo.

If that was the case, then Canelo would just be choosing bums like Rocky Fielding and cashing in on $35m per fight. The money men have all the power. The fighter brings the revenue but the money men create the platform.

Who else is going to pay Canelo the same money? Imagine he fought Fielding on PPV....people would laugh him out of town.

    Is Canelo worth that much?

If DAZN are losing money on Canelo, why wouldn't Al Haymon? Assuming the same level of opponents are being propositioned.....

Lol the fact Dazn are taking the position with their most prized asset "take it or go for a hike" proves what he is worth

So apparently DAZN deal wasn't 35 million $ per each fight for Canelo, but 365 million over 11 fights. I'm guessing that DAZN wanted Canelo to take on someone like Callum Smith for an amount like 20 million, and then, once the audience allowed again, they'd pay him somewhere around 50 million $ for the rubber match with GGG. But Canelo refused to take on Callum Smith for a relatively low amount and he'd only accept a paycut If he fought Avni Yıldırım, who was point blank rejected by DAZN as an opponent. Which is why Canelo is sidelined for the rest of the year.

I wouldn't be shocked if he didn't fight in 2021 either.

Pimp I dont think the money here is the biggest factor, but the power to decide who you wanna fight, when you wanna fight, with DAZN his hands we're tied. Canelo can still sell 500k ppv vs anyone really. That dont make 35M but still. I'm guessing both Canelo and DAZN want out
