No doubt. It's his age. Wlad never had a game plan to fight his opponent. He just boxed, boxed and boxed.

thompson, Joshua and Austin, Wach, Pianeta, Williamson, Pulev, Nicholsan, Mccline, Sanders Jefferson, Bostice, Wolfgramm, Vujicic and Pannell also had similar dimensions to Wlad it tended to make him more aggressive in fights as he did not have to worry about his body as much. just ask Tony Thompson and Ray Austin. Fury lucked out Wladamir had shown he was well past his best against Jennings.

They all have similar dimensions to Wlad, but Fury has a 3-inch height advantage and 4-inch reach advantage which I feel is fairly significant, but Fury's skillset/style is the other factor. I know height and reach aren't enough to beat a guy like Wlad, but Fury is a lot better than Tony Thompson and Ray Austin.

You're right about Wlad's age showing in the Jennings fight though, and there's no doubt Wlad was past his best. I still just don't know who I'd pick in a fantasy fight between Fury and prime Wlad. I think I need to re-watch some of Wlad's fights from his prime years to make a confident pick.
