Hopkins clinch and hold and hits are something you have to deal with. In the gym fighters tell me to stop and quit holding. I laugh and say deal with it. U never know how the ref is gonna ref the fight. Chicanito always told me, its only illegal if the say something. In boxing you have to make adjustments according to how the ref is reffing the fight. Guy like de la Hoya and canelo are always gonna get things their way. It might not be fair but it’s you job to do something about it and you coaches job to tell you. Example. Danny Garcia hitting Mattyse low 20x every time he came on. I blame Mattyse and his corner. If he woulda went low back that woulda been that. The ref woulda been forced to do something. Kov ward same situation. It wasn’t right but it was his fault and corners.

    Hopkins

Actually I think a stoppage might be in the realm of possibility I know the poll jokes about it but he did stop the iron tough glen johnson

Hopkins is such a well schooled and balanced fighter both on defense and offense he has great anticipation and timing

Not that I think Golovkin is a bum or anything like that but I just think they are in two different leagues

Golovkins jab is very good and would keep him in the fight

Other folks seem to think that Golovkin struggling with Ouma is relevant, while ignoring that he was sick before the fight and KO'd him anyway. Also, Jacobs >>> Mercado.

I know, hence why I didn't mention it.

And Hopkins beat plenty of fighters better than Mercado. The conditions of the first fight is why that was a draw, not because it's indicative of Hopkins as fighter.

Canelo only fought GGG when he was old and he knew he could win a robbery.
Where was Hagler, for example, at GGG's age in the Canelo fights? Done, and he certainly didn't have the wear and tear of GGG. And GGG still should have won if not for corrupt judges.

'GGG was average v prime Canelo blah blah'

Roach mentioned it as a possibility because the beggar with zero notable victories stands shamelessly interested. At least my efforts get an A, yours get an F all the time.

Alvarez faced him because he was shamelessly begging for a long time. Eventually he got his free undeserved payday, lost and now his mentally ill fans have nowhere to go. All you can do is continue his fantasy matchup victories against Heavyweights in your crack infused imaginations.

GGG had the more consistent jab, b-hop was too gunshy.

A one trick pony vs one of the most well rounded intelligent fighters of all time.
Bhop was still learning and evolving throughout his whole career. His face should be in the boxing bible on doing things the right way. Started ultra agressive smothering high pace and realize he needed longevity to make money. Realized he needed to be contraversial when king and trinidad decided after the joppy ko that they didnt need hopkins and were gonna move up and fight jones. Thats when he threw the puto rican flag down. Started moving and boxing more. Holding and hitting. Never getting hit real clean. He did thing the right way. Thats why he will always be ranked higher then roy jonesall time. Ggg wasted his career in the amatuers.

GGG is too slow, and too basic got Trinidad.

To beat Trinidad you need exceptional defense. ODLH, Wright, Hopkins type of exceptional defense.

So what Hatton did to Tszyu was something good after all.
