His defence is a little underrated as he often rolls with shots of half blocks shots with gloves and shoulder but let's be honest he's no defensive wizard he takes a lot of leather but that's the price you pay for having a style were you exert so much pressure on your opponent. As the video below shows he has a fantastic chin as he eats a lot of flush shots. Maybe he'd be more elusive if he had a worse chin but then he wouldn't be the offensive machine that he is. Lol, please bro. I'll trust what I saw in the Jacobs, Brook and Canelo fights to gauge how good GGG's defence is not some cherrypicked highlight video.
It really depends on how he's fighting and who he is fighting. Before Sanchez he had a much more 'boxing oriented' approach and defended more carefully. When he boxed Canelo in #2 he made ginger miss repeatedly. He also guages the power of opponents and if he thinks they have nothign for him he walks through their shots.
Gennady Gennadyevich Golovkin (Cyrillic: Геннадий Геннадьевич Головкин; also spelled Gennadiy; born 8 April 1982), often known by his nickname "GGG" or "Triple G", is a Kazakhstani professional boxer.
I think Jacobs v B-hop might have been close and Jacobs may have beat Tito due to being a lot bigger despite being less skilled.
This^^^^^ especially if you count robberies. Sure GGG would get Canelo buy B-Hop would get Mercado again, Taylor at least once, arguably Calzhage and another win over Pascal.
I think Calzaghe beat hopkins fair and square in a close fight. Calzaghe made better adjustments the second half of that fight. Which is amazing when considering hopkins is great at making adjustments himself.
I had it 114-113 B-Hop, but I agree it was super close. Calzhage was really an underrated technician, and I agree that his adjustments were excellent. Very few people could out-smart Hopkins in his career.
