Vitali had a better defense, was more durable, more intelligent, and much more versatile than his puny brother. Wlad had longevity but that was it. Head to head it was obvious who was better fighter was. I remember Haye wanting no part of Vitali.
I don't think anyone would argue that Wlad achieved more over the course of his career than Vitali did. Similarly, I don't think any should argue that in a head-to-head matchup Vitali beats him 9 times out of 10.
Ok yes wlad has definitely achieved more foreshore. Wouldn't be a easy fight for either, reckon if they got there mum to ref it tho that would be awesome. Wlad getting put back in his corner by the ear, vitali getting threats of being grounded if he doesn't let go of the clinch. Pocket money docked for below the belt shots
Wladimir by tko. He’s got more skill, faster hands, and hit much harder than Vitali. Vitali (despite winning) was eating a lot of big punches from an out of shape Lewis and he can’t risk that with Wlad. His aggression would likely force Wlad to unload his arsenal and I don’t think any heavyweight could survive a powerful onslaught from Wladimir.
Vitali. I put more stock in his abilities, his willingness to trade and fight, and him visibly struggling less against similarly sized men. Plus, nobody loses to their kid brother. Ever.
I hope Wlad is eternally grateful to his big bro for taking a back seat so that he could collect most of the glory he achieved. With all due respect to Wlad, Vitali is cracking that china chin any time he wanted.
Vitali wears down Wlad who isn't hardy enough to beat him. Wlad's ahead on points when he's ground down and stopped. It prob looks like a heavyweight version of Linares Demarco.
Vitali was always the better fighter in my opinion and even Wlad himself has said when asked who would of won, Vitali would of beaten him.
''The Ukrainian orphanages ask why they didn't get any. Wlad tells them to start thinking globally, to look outward not inward, it's 2020'' Gold
