Belts, drug testing, A-side nonsense, catch weights, etc aside: has Canelo ever defeated the #1 fighter in any division? I don't think he has. It's interesting to consider when weighing his supposed accomplishments and superstar status.

First fight with Gennady "The Tomato Can Devourer" Golovkin was a draw and Alvarez CLEARLY won the rematch. He stood in his face, exchanged with him and even backed him off. Golovkin's "titansteel x super heavyweight quality power" was nowhere to be found in 24 rounds against Alvarez. The only place his power is on full display is twitter. Be glad he got two free paydays without taking any risks in the process, thanks to social media.

Get over it and find yourself another hype job to cheer for. Surely they are cooking something on twitter for idiots like you to mindlessly support.

Does without controversy mean 100% of the fans need to agree ? If so there's never been a single decision that fits that criteria

Well, according to 94% of people GGG won the first fight and 75% had GGG winning the 2nd one as well.

According to reality, the first fight was a draw and the rematch Alvarez won. Get over it.

As soon as he stepped up for the first time in his career, even though still against a smaller opponent, he is automatically "old shot". First fight = draw, rematch = Gennady "The Tomato Can Devourer" Golovkin loses. Get over it.

Clenbuterol had a chance to fight him but he waited until GGG was 36 and then still lost twice .

Lol they took a global poll or do you think the majority of people who participated did so because they disagreed?

For me personally once you have been caught out taking peds it makes every result controversial.
So for me every result is there to be questioned forgetting the performance in the ring.
For me no fighter that has been caught cheating can ever have their name brought up without it being mentioned and put as a mark against their accomplishments and their name

People often say golovkin won the first, but lost the second, I personally don’t know what they were watching, I thought Golovkin won both fights

The old fart appears from the gutters, finally. You seriously want to compare Golovkin vs Alvarez II to clearly one-sided fights like Holyfield vs Lewis I and Trinidad vs DLH?. It's no surprise an idiot like you will jump from the Margarito hype train to the Tomato Can Devourer's hype train.
