    Yes.

...objectively yes, not just because I'd love for that piece of **** to not have gotten away with taking an undefeated record to his grave.

Yes, if he contested it he would have won.

Lol the ref continues the count and ignores he just got hit while down.

    What the F.

Neutral corner, call time. Take a point. Continue fight.

Shimada should have used some American acting skills and pretended that foul blow KO'd him.

    NO.

I was about to say yes, but if you look closely, the only parts in contact with the floor is shimada's feet. He does not touch the floor with any other part of his body. Hence, if the referee does not say stop, it's not a DQ. It's legal. Protect yourself at all times.

It looks worse than it actually is. Imho, it's fully legit.

Look again, he's not down. He's standing, I bet whitaker was in a position like that at least 5 times per fight (but being actually successful and dodging, obviously).

    Worst take of 2020, congrats.

The ref not only tells him to stop, he thrusts his arm between Valero and Shimada (who not only does probably have the right lower leg below and perhaps all the way from shin up to the knee on the canvas, and unless you know of another camera view for a different angle you can't say definitively otherwise given that fan's head being in the way - but he's also clutching the damn rope and clearly 'downed') to separate them, only for Valero to hesitate, swing back, and release the punch anyway.

You can say whatever. The referee doesnt say **** and shimada's only part in contact with the floor is his feet. PERIOD.

The rest is blah blah blah.

Did the referee SAY stop? NO
Did any part of shimada touch the floor apart from his feet? NO

    Then it's legit. PERIOD.

rofl, I can see that shimada is standing. I can see the referee's mouth.

not my fault if you are blind.

Pac should have also been DQ against Marquez 1. It was even more blatant.

min 28:34, on the replay, there you can see that shimada does not touch the ground with any of his knees

You wanted another angle? there you have it.
