Ggg is fighting some unknown dude they paid IBF to make mandatory and Canelo this year alone has been turned down by 3/4 Champs at 168(Smith,Plant,Saunders) but was also turned down by Andrade(WBO 160), & Charlo (Interim WBC 160). This rumored fight is pretty much a last option thing and a Convenient title shot... because A. Fighters don’t want to fight and B. DAZN won’t approve a fight unless is against a 50 yr Oscar de la Hoya, GGG, or an MMA fighter..
well apparently opponents like Saunders and smith want to get paid like their Kovalev and GGG from what I’ve seen the vast majority of these guys got offered somewhere between 5-7mil and they wanted 10+... doesn’t help that apparently the only fights DAZN considered a priority are Canelo vs Hoya,GGG, or a MMA fighter. honestly bro it’s confusing as hell and I don’t understand it myself
Man, did DAZN and everyone (including myself ) vastly overrate Canelo's sub driving potential when they signed this diva to that stupid contract. I really wanted them to do well, giving more fighters the opportunities to make TV/possible ppv money. By the time this deal is a 3rd over with this deal probably bankrupts Dazn USA, if the diva doesn't sue his way out of it first. From what I understand Canelo actually wants that 35 mil tag on every fight including the Rocky Fielding's or this ****ing guy, but continues to refuse the only fight that could possibly make that kind of money for Dazn not to take a huge loss.
I am not underestimating PBC and Canelo, unlike you. But I will take back the "easily" part. With a big push, they can sell 500k even against Yildrim.
500k PPV buys . Lmao. Smith is a better fighter and more know than this guy and they could only muster 300k. we will just have to disagree on that number. The hype? Let see....lost to Eubank......fought absolutely no one else ....only other noticeable fight was a No decision against Dirrel. Yep this will sell 500k.
Oh no, you are misunderstanding me a bit here. This has nothing to do with Yildrim. It´s all about Canelo´s drawing power and PBC´s surprising ability to sell PPV´s. PBC have done a good job thus far. Smith is and was the better fighter, but no one gave a **** anyways. I wager Yildrim being so bad will actually help get attention to this fight. Controversy sells and boxing fans went berserk when Alvarez vs Yildrim was proposed as a possible fight. Plus HBO was already on the way out and GBP wasn´t quite what it used to be. PBC on Fox is doing rather well actually.
