There is growing wait and curiosity for Tyson's match against Roy Jones. Many insiders these days have released interviews in which they have expressed very favorable opinions on the fact that Tyson is in a such excellent shape that he could even compete for a title in the HWs. Let's assume Tyson is able to take on one of Fury, Joshua, Wilder, Povetkin and Usyk. Who of these do you think is more affordable for Old Tyson?

More affordable? maybe Povetkin or Wilder. I don't think he'd fare against any of them. I think they'd all have enough sense to just wait him out until he gasses in the mid rounds and then tee off on him.

The man is fifty-four years old going on sixty-five. With what he put his body through in his teens and twenties Mike Tyson is probably a walking advertisement for MULTIPLE drugs.

Drugs that treat arthritis in his hands, joint pain, neuropsychiatric sequelae (what happens to your brain when you take prolonged beatings from punchers like Lewis and Holyfield). Not to mention metric asstons of marijuana.

Not sure he’d be allowed to take those if he went back to fighting pro and even if he could, none of those names are “affordable” as anyone on that list will knock him out cold. Mike Tyson was fierce but make no mistake his time is past.

Dunno, but Mike at 54 is clearly better than Mike at 38/39. :deal:

Tyson would have two rounds to knock his opponents out but after that he would get hurt, his power and ring iq would allow him to have a chance still.

The 54 year old Tyson can't compete against world-class heavyweights. He is having an exhibition with Jones. It's not a real fight but it is being hyped to increase the gate. It's a con and will be a love fest. A lot of people will be very disappointed and Tyson has no intention of doing any real fighting now or later.

Anything is possible in life but another thing life has is the acceptance of reality. The man is 54 years old and has used and abused himself. We all like to imagine our hero’s can overcome the odds and still shine one last time. But in the sport of boxing reality hits back hard and it can be a harsh and permanent reminder that boxing is a younger mans sport. Let him do his exhibitions and enjoy them while they last. I will because I will always be a Tyson fan.
