Joyce is heading toward the wrong side of thirty (35) with only Eleven pro fights. He can’t really afford to have fights pushed back. Had hopes for the guy when he first came onto the scene but now... Thoughts? At this point can he make his career take off with what little time he has left or is he done?
Maybe they can get the fight in before JJ turns 40. Joe's record might be 12-0. By then DD will be at his prime... or exposed.
These idiot promoters are delusional with their hope of crowds being allowed in for sporting events, just do the fights and make your money through ppv and hope people buy.
How big would this have realistically been on ppv? I think it's a fight that appeals to boxing fans, but how many casuals would go for it? They are the difference between a decent return and s good one. The gate would have been a sizable percentage of total revenue. Without it, the fight may not even cover costs, let alone generate a profit.
It's a better fight than Whyte Rivas but that's just my opinion. Could stack the card and make it more a goer. I reckon it would do over 200k with right pr.
Agreed if they are waiting for a live gate this fight isn't happening this year, we'll be in lock down again and I don't see the fight happening until the spring of 2021 at the earliest. If they keep delaying it, people will lose interest.
