It became quite silent around Luis Ortiz since his second loss to Wilder. Despite having an intense training camp and performing well as long as the fight lasted, he got KOd by one punch after 7 rounds. Many people wrote him off long ago, yet he's still in the game, fighting Alexander Scott in November (as reported online) on the same card as Andy Ruiz Jr.

According to my logic, if both are successful, we may see Ortiz vs Ruiz in the first half of 2021, while the winner may be granted a title shot against someone later in the year, because why not?

Do you think Ortiz stands any chance against Ruiz and who would you want to see him fighting afterwards for a titleshot?

Ruiz should handle him. Stylistically it’s about interesting match up but I’m not sure how much fight Ortiz has left in him

Ortiz has the same chance that most big, older and slower boxers have... a punchers chance. However Andy Ruiz shrugged off a straight right from AJ that would have knocked Ortiz for a loop.

Ortiz stands a much greater chance of becoming permanently damaged. Permanently.

The simplest way of characterizing the aging process for boxers would have to be loss of elasticity. With the loss of elasticity comes the loss of resiliency, the ability to bounce back, to recover from injury whether by natural causes, illness, training or trauma.

Knockouts result in peticchial hemorrhages, small bleeding spots in the brain. These form tiny scars in the brain. Scars which, in time, will affect function if they are numerous and deep. Brain tissue does not regenerate, therefore, once there, always there. No hope of it getting better in time. He was sparked out by a huge puncher in Wilder and it is already showing.

ORTIZ HAS CHILDREN AND IS FORTY ONE YEARS OLD. HE SHOULD RETIRE.

Retire while he can still react to his children speaking. Retire while he still is in command of his bodily functions. Retire with some dignity.

Let’s see him and Ruiz square off. Winner gets a title shot, the loser disappears into obscurity.

Ortiz vs Ruiz Jr is a huge PPV fight. Sell out Staples in LA.

Ortiz would jab Ruiz ears off. Easy win for King Kong.

Yeah my initial thought was also Joshua hitting Ruiz with full power and Ruiz took it. I don't think Ortiz will be able to finish by KO and in the late rounds he will gas out probably. Would've loved to see Ortiz Joshua few years ago, but now it appears more and more a free win for Joshua.

Time for him to go into hibernation and make his comeback in 2051 under a new guise.

After Ruiz showed up like a blimp there are questions about both fighters, I'd make Ruiz a favorite ,60-40

Lmao at everyone who thinks this version of Ruiz Knocks out grandpa Ortiz. Ruiz has been searching far and wide for a punching bag. His latest Potential come back fight is another old man in Chris Arreola. Ortiz is a available and would jump at a chance against Ruiz. He would be a very dangerous fight for this unmotivated fat blob.

Ortiz could beat Ruiz. I see it as a similar fight to Whyte Povetkin and we saw how that ended.
