First of all Aaron Pryor was the man at light welterweight. Whoever faced him in the ring have already have their atg status just for fighting him. I know he was too small for the sugar man but some say Leonard ducked him (the hawk I mean) Well how would Alexis Arguello fare against Zab Judah. Arguello was a great boxer, good defense, heart, slick like winky Wright (without being slippery or elusive at the same time).his acumen was great... Vs Judah, the one who had all the confidence brimming in the tszyu fight, all the skills in the Mayweather fight, all the discipline in the Cotto fight. I'm sorry if I shortchanged any boxer here, I'm just relying on memory. Your thoughts? Would it be competitive?

I lay somewhere between the Lewis Tua era and onwards, was there for the whole Pacquiao run. Just haven't been in tune with the new breed. Reading boxing talk.com was a treat back then. I tried following some of the olden days, which xolosive I must admit you know a lot about old school fighters. That story is true though my Nicaraguan friend told me when Mayorga came back to the Airport people were booing him. I used to remember watching Arguello with his guard up, that's why I dropped the winky reference lol
First of all... welcome to the forum! I see you've been here since July. I've only been here for about three years so I'm a relative newbie here (plenty of guys have been on here since the mid-late 2000s - @Xplosive being one of them). Regarding the matchup, Zab Judah was decent and might have done okay for a few rounds against Arguello. Arguello tended to start slow and then build momentum - he was a 15 round fighter after all. He also liked to size up his opponents. Judah was quick and his best chance would be to keep Alexis on the move so I can see him having some of the early going. But Alexis had a fine boxing brain and would close distance and put Judah under pressure and I think Judah would (unwisely) respond. And that would pretty much be the end of him. Either TKO or straight KO in the middle rounds (6-8 depending on a 12 or 15 round fight).
