I’m talking about Bojado, who was billed as next big thing from Olympics along with Cotto and Ricardo Williams

Yeah sadly it's true and it is that interview I posted a link to where Kalle talks about him

    About the 40 minute mark

    https://player.fm/series/boxing-life-stories/ep-21-kalle-sauerland

Poor guy he was a real talent- good skills, absolutely savage punching power, seemed like a nice chap from the interviews I saw, and a lock to become a world champion IMO. As Kalle said. He was also a good looking guy and a talented pianist (I remember seeing a video of him displaying his piano playing skills back then). He's still sectioned to this day. :shakehead:

It really is. I've long wondered what the exact reason was and speaking as someone who was a big fan of his it genuinely upset me hearing that.

I keep reading that on forums, any quote or proof anywhere? Last we saw of him was that twitter picture by BoxingGuru.

Luis Garcia the Irish Cuban also retired 15-0 despite looking like the real deal.

I think Seth Mitchell coaches football.
Camacho Jr. went to 160+ and sucked.
Ricardo Williams went to prison for possessing cocaine with intent to sell, had a comeback and didn't go far.
Bojado had got arrested in a high speed chase with meth in his car and has appeared in Elie Seckbach videos.

He wasn't a world beater or anything, but I remember seeing Jonathan Mantaquilla Gonzalez a few times against guys like Dzinziruk and Porky Medina, and he stopped fighting in 2014 at 24 with an 18-0-1 record. Wonder why

Oleksandr Spirko - looked an excellent young prospect at 154 on Usyk undercards, was 20-0 then just vanished off the face of the earth. No idea what happened to him, but he is only 31 now so if hes still alive he could come back.

    A clear lack of dedication.
He badly, like really, really badly missed weight for the Dzinziruk fight. And I don´t think he ever made 154 again, even tho it was his supposed weight class. Pretty sure he finished his last few fights at above 160, and he barely won those.

If you don´t like to put work in inside the gym, then you likely won´t like getting your ass beat in the ring.
