It's well known that most successful boxers started with nothing but are there any that came from a wealthy background? Not including sons of successful fighters like Chavez and Eubank Jr.
Greb wasnt wealthy per se but he was squarely middle class and had many more options than your average boxer.
According to an SI article this is simply false. Chavez father worked for the rail road company and was killed in some sort of accident or what not.
Dana Rosenblatt was probably better off than most boxers. I think of millionaires when I hear the word “wealthy” though.
Azumah Nelson's father was apparently a millionaire in the construction business (at least that's what they said on commentary during the Sanchez fight).
