In short: 37-41 y.o Povetkin was not/ is not 31-33 years old Povetkin. I assumed that he will retire even before his fight that he had before fight vs A.J.
I don't see Povetkin getting KOed, his chin is decent and Whyte will not be taking huge risks. I see Dillian fighting behind his jab and from a distance to win a close decision, similar to AJ Ruiz 2. There is still a chance Povetkin sparks him out but if it goes to a decision, Hearn won't be allowing his fighter to lose.
Question is, how hard are Sky sports commentators going to wank over Whyte? How many jabs will it take for them to get to their 2nd orgasm? Also how many times are they going to say "the once great Povetkin"?
I think Whyte could win, but I think it turns out the same as last time. Whyte already was thinking to fight behind the jab, and I think Povetkin just trained to land a counter uppercut. I could see Whyte improving his defense a little, but I think that will only buy him a few more rounds.
Povetkin learns from experience, he's a smart boxer puncher even if he is old. Whyte is a crude slugger. He doesn't have the ability to box off the back foot like AJ did vs Ruiz, especially against a fighter as smart as Povetkin. I'm picking Povetkin KO again, or a Whyte UD in a fight he clearly lost.
I understand why Whyte is the favourite, but the bookies and people are still almost writing him off again. -.- I really, really hope Whyte loses this now.
The only way Povetkin wins is by tko/ko. He'll never get a decision against Whyte. So, if Whyte wins do we get a trilogy?
will if whyte can loose another 10 lbs and have sum bounce in his legs instaed of being stuck on the canvass ......but now whyte knows he can be stopped and is gonna be gunshy ....povetkin stops whyte before rd 10
