If Loma was as special as you would like to believe. A slub like Salido wouldn't have been able to compete with him, and much less defeat him. Regardless of him being a little heavier. ( Loma was bigger and heavier against a past prime Rigo, but I'm sure that's ok with you) Loma has good talent. But haven't done anything that special at the pro level. Sorry if that hurt your feelings.

No It does not hurt me, I'm not Loma fan at first, and at second, pro boxing is entertainment.:D
You had fought with someone outhveighting you by 10+ pounds functional weight?
And YES, Loma is someting special : too polite for professional boxing.
If he was good U.S professional boxer, to get respect from U.S fanbase he mandatory should deliver also the same : 40 low blows and add to gain respect 2-3 elbows. Not demo elbows thad Glowacki had get, baby rabbit puncher Glowacki.
Sorry if this had hurt your feelings about stuff that is necessity for gaining respect.
Of course, rehydration and rematch clauses, sometimes catchweight clauses and waiting till potentially beatable guy is for sure out of prime is CORE to get " respect ":nonono

If he was a US boxer with the same record , fighting the same 15 pro fights with a loss. I and most educated and experienced fight fans would say the exact same thing.( It's a fact US fans have a tendency to be much harsher against US fighters) Its not about where he's from but about what he's done. That simple.
That bias is coming from you.

I do not care what Loma had done or did not had done.
Casaul eastern european ammy in gym smoker banged Salido without care about ppl in internet:bananaride and Salido had retired forever after this.
Exact the same thing about education level in fourms is that Salido was noname even in Mexico level but Loma: 2 times Olympic champion and 2 times World Champion.
Nut banger Salido was not able to finish " bum and owerrated Loma " and his won instead of getting DQ is proof how Loma is not accomplished in U.S entertainment bussiness scene.:D
You are educated because are sitting in forums and pretend to be smart ? Yes?
    EDUCATED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:ibutt

Yes, I agree, better if Loma put his opponents on rehydration clauses, waited until they will be enough old, catchveight clauses, fight in hometown, nicely handled out low blows and rabbit punches, tortured opponents in clinches and wrestleboxed.
He should did this plus cherry pick opponents to get high KO % to statisfy average educated boxing fan in social media, especially forums and YT comments sections.

Wilfredo Gomez and Joe Calzaghe in the lower weights.

    Cheers All.

Dempsey and Marciano most likely today were CW boxers.

You just said ‘he beat Vitali’ like it was nothing, you just said it there, that is an all time great win

It was a great win, but I question that one. Lewis looked to me like he was losing pretty obviously before that cut. I think he retired before facing someone he'd lose against .

That said, LL was unquestionably a top 10 ATG and Vitali wasn't quite imo.

Actually think ali and tyson are criminally underrated on here. Amazed than anyone thinks their overrated.

Think its fair to criticise tysons career but for a brief moment in time maybe four or five years he was something else. Ali more so...unbelievable fighter in an unbelievable era of fighters.

Another one roy jones junior...he was incredible in his prime. He doesnt really get the credit he deserved.

Think these guys get more discredited because its one that even the casuals could tell they we,re something a bit special. Guys on here....the experts then go the other way with it. Always usually crediting guys that we,rent quite as good. Toney gets lots of love on here and yet roy beat him up without too much hassle.

I wouldn’t say McClellan is overrated, it’s obvious he mainly faced bums, it’s just that a power puncher with speed, strong chin, and good fundamentals is going to do very well in fantasy matchups
