You could throw in, for argument's sake: Tommy Ryan; Billy Papke; Kid McCoy; Al Hostak; Florentino Fernandez; Eugene Hart; Bennie Briscoe; Nigel Benn; Roy Jones Jr; Kelly Pavlik. I think Monzon and Hagler hit fairly hard, as well... ... ...
The only one I'd give you is Fitzsimmons and he was more of a light heavyweight. The others like you said are arguable. Maybe J. Jackson, but I'd still put GGG in the top three. Not even the biggest Roy Jones fans would say he hit harder than GGG at 160. Regarding McClellan, wouldn't you agree his first 22 fights were vs really bad opposition, and he failed to stop some of them. This is an example of inflated KO%. His biggest wins were over Jackson who was certifiably chiny and Mugabi who after eagles seems to have lost punch resistance. See below: https://boxrec.com/en/proboxer/4252 In addition to being one of the best puncher's ever, can you name three middleweight with better chins? That won't be easy.
LOL Unbelievable, you have been talking all along about a version of Toney you never even watched !!! LOL Toney won that fight by landing the harder and cleaner shots.Mc Callum is a better boxer than GGG anyway, better technician and better jab.
He also has more tenacity , more courage and a greater desire to win.. Look at the leather he walked through in both fights. . He attacked Toney hard and wasn't fearful of what was coming back. Golovkin just isn't prepared to put himself in the danger zone like that as we have seen in the 24 rounds he shared with Canelo. . He will fight smart and tentative which will allow Toney to pick him off comfortably . . Golovkin doesn't fight aggressive against elite opponents because of how open he is when throwing his signature punches.. This has been proven beyond doubt against Canelo x2 and to some degree against Jacobs and Lemiuex also. Furthermore , if quality of opposition is irrelevant then judging power , then Lemieux probably hit harder than GGG
How somebody can watch 24 rounds of GGG / Canelo and come away with the idea that Golovkin didn't throw down, befuddles me. You have to be really "special" to come to that conclusion
Mike would beat both Canelo and GGG on points.I remember Emmanuel Steward saying that Mc Callum was the most complete fighter he has ever trained/managed!! Great chin and defense also
I must have seen 15+ Toney fights, just not this one. I have seen some before McCallum and many after. Clear? Do you agree with my description of the action and scorecard so far? McCallum has not impressed me much so far in this fight. As stated, he's 35, and he says past his best. He looks stiff. I don't see much speed or power from him. His jab is solid, nothing beyond that, Great chin, okay. Great defense, not even close in this fight. Yet a prime Toney has his hands full with him??? GGG has a better jab more speed and hit harder with a comparable chin. More on that later The official decision is a draw, and some here think that was within reason. I have it 2-1-1 after four rounds for McCallum so far. I called round 3 even on my score card as it was close and to avoid the accusation of bias by his fanboys like yourself. I really think McCallum was slight the better in that round.
Neither have you seen the Reggie Johnson. It has become clear you did not know what you were talking about he whole time.LOL nobody cares about your biased scorecard.I might as well rewatch the Jacobs and give it to him.It is a meaningless exercise. But we do know for a fact that Toney has beaten the better fighters. Disingenous as you are, you are trying to work around this by attacking Toney’s record which is absurd as he has the better wins!!
So 2-1-1 is not a good card after 4 rounds? Get out of here, yes it is. I don't care what you think. I will call it like I see it, and it that ruffles your feathers, so be it. Based on the amount of thumbs up my posts get daily, I would say our wrong that nobody cares. I think GGG edged Jacobs, but understand this. Golovkin was on the decline fighting a much younger man. Here we have Toney in his 20's fighting a 35 year old, who moved up to middile and its very close. Yeah, I'l give more detail on Johnson later. You won't like them all because Toney is not as great as you " think " Also, don't assume what I have seen, your wrong again. I said I have not seen Toney vs McCallum. As of right now the first four rounds are fresh in my mind. Where is your scorecard, I could use a laugh. Post it please. Also I welcome debate, it won't be hard for me to make you look really bad as your knowledge on the sport is mediocre, and your denial on what happens is high. In the past you have avoided most of my questions that require a truthfully reply. I think we both know that, and why you do it. Just be honest and say, yes, that's correct for a change. See you around fanboy.
That 35 year old beats both Canelo and GGG on points.A meaningless and probably biased card of yours at the end.Not to mention that a scorecard of 4 rounds is pretty meaningless LOL.Objective fact is Toney has beaten the better fighters.Your personal and probably biased cards are not relevant !!
knowledge??? You are watching the Mc Callum - Toney and obviously do not appreciate the skill level of both operators.you are the one with no boxingknowledge !!
That 35 year old is stiff and slow, Canelo beats him. I looked at McCallum in his younger days, man he was in serious decline for Toney. Do you deny that? Yes or no? Worry not, I'm going to watch and score all 12 rounds. DO you have an issue with my first four rounds score? If so details please. Where's your card? My cards are good You remain a fan boy who ducks my questions.
Look man, Mc Callum beats both GGG and Canelo. And what is GGG best win besides Daniel Jacobs? And he arguably even lost that fight.Mc Callum’s record is way better than GGG’s !!!
Your ducking my questions, fanboy. Do you agree McCallum was past it? McCallum is best know for losing to his best opponents, look it up and learn. Also, are you going to produce a card too? You said mine was bad so far, without saying why.
Who did GGG beat besides Jacobs? He has one win on his record and arguably even lost that fight! Answer that question.Mike’s record is way better than GGG’s. A slightly past his best Mc Callum still beats GGG and Canelo. He was the WBA champ at the time and just avenged his only lost in Kalambay! Mike was a 5-2 favorite to beat Toney. You do not know what you are talking about because you gather your information 30 years later from YouTube!
