Brodie was very unlucky more than once in the big fights - certainly far better than many World Champions in the years that followed.
How good would Scott Harrison been if he lived the life of a boxer and never met alcohol? Think Josh Taylor could be one of the UK all time greats if he stays professional in and out of the ring. My only concern is arrogance may be his downfall - boxthing can humble anyone.
That Dorticos v Briedis fight was just proper high level quality action. Right man won, lost first couple of rounds and then started to come right back into it. Briedis is so clever with his variety of shots and footwork. He backs it up with an impressive work rate too. Loved it. Brilliant fight.
Taylor getting the job done early meant I got to see the last half of Breidis v Dorticos. Cracking fight.
Just noticed that Tony Hayers has been missing again all week. Don't agree with many of his posts but it is strange that such a serial and consistent poster has totally went off the radar. We may need to organise a forum search party
Think it is very odd Frampton aged 33 years is calling Josh Taylor a 'kid' at 29 years of age. On the plus side he does call a fight as he views it unlike any of the Sky mob.
Would love to see Briedis vs usyk rematch at heavyweight. Briedis gave usyk his toughtest fight to date.
10-2 Briedis. That feels wide, because it is. Lots of close rounds but some very clear rounds to Briedis. I don’t think Dorticos had any *very* clear rounds. Good tactical fight. Enjoyed. Briedis should move up. Would love that. He nearly killed Charr. Dorticos still has plenty to do at CW. He should stay there. What a great division it’s been over the last 5 years.
All 8 fighters in that first WBSS Cruiser tournament would have pummelled Tony Bellew PPV. Usyk was a great champion at the end of a tournament with what was a very strong line up.
