I watched the fight a few times already because of the (took a dive) hysteria on YouTube. I have never seen anybody fall look straight at his opponent then enter in convulsions. Then to make matters worse he acted dazed as he was getting up. In the second round. Rosario hurts Charlo with a straight right hand. Yet he did not really capitalize on it. It seemed to me he held back. Don't know if he held back to be conservative and not get countered or what everyone is thinking (not supposed to win) It looks to me like he took a dive. While I'm a fan of Charlo I refuse to follow a boxer that is the product of the allege (boxing mob) . I just does not sit well with me, knowing its all fabricated. I cannot and refuse to get behind that. Could it be that he felt something before then and just wanted out already? Possibly. You don't know what a fighter is going threw in his head or how his body is feeling. 2 conclusion Dive or he wanted out.
You dont take a dive in a unification fight. He was trying to win and won some rounds. Charlo punches hard and has stopped alot of fighters.
I think Rosario was generally hurt, hed took a bit of a beating and was hurt several times and I think the last shot was all he could take. Khongsong however very skeptical of that one.
Fake KO. Charlo pushed out that body jab. Not much force or torque behind. Floyd's last 10 landed body jabs looked harder than the one that KO'd Rosario.
Money talks. Charlo Bros. are very heavily invested in and are marquee fighters on PBC. They're a big part of the brand.
He looked like he nutted staring into the air in euphoria. The worst straight punch solar plexus shots will wind you...but i've never seen someone act so adverse to them. I'll take a plexus shot over a liver, kidney or ballsack shot all night long. I believe he was hurt by it...but I also believe he found a cheap way to quit. Most guys can "suck it up" and survive... Maidana had to suck it up against Khan...Couldn't have been any worse...
Definitely a dive, boxers are used to taking body shots and getting the wind knocked out of them. Unless there’s some internal problems there’s no way he would be knocked out by an arm jab to the body.
Also, one of the commentators mentioned, I believe, the round before, that Rasario was throwing his right in such a way that it had no power. On the flip side, a punch that causes the diaphragm muscle to cramp, not allowing you to breath at a time you are breathing hard, could cause you to get light headed. That can explain the dazed state. As far as the convulsing goes, trying to get up when your stomach is in a cramped state could make it look like convulsing. Either way, it was a wierd way to end a fight.
Is it possible he was already damaged to the body before that shot landed? So that shot could have been a lot more painful than it looked.
The shot wasn’t even flush, it deflected from his arms down onto his belt line.. I don’t think he took a dive but it was certainly weird as ****.
