The harder that Wilder tries to land the big right hand the more he telegraphs it thus making it easier for Fury to see it coming and avoid it. It’s a catch 22 for Wilder from which the only escape is to vastly improve his boxing ability and ring IQ neither of which is going to happen to the degree required.
Dunno about that. Not only Fury is much more skilled and the more natural boxer between the two, he's also bigger and stronger. That's not something you can adjust to at the age 35, especially not for a thick and stubborn guy like Wilder who tried to fire the only one in his camp who had his best interest in heart. Wilder's only chance is to shell up, avoid getting hit clean, throw occasional hayemakers and hope for the best.
Fury is a much better fighter. In theory Wilder could KO him, he almost did it in the first fight, but I would bet on Fury.
Love your optimism!! But those few adjustments pretty much add up to wilder needs to learn to box. Man's got massive heart but still has a thunderbolt of a right hand. Don't see much changing yh put him down but he lost 22 of 24 rounds
I think so far Fury has shown he can outbox in the first match and out muscle Wilder in the second match. I love Wilder's style and think he had great potential, but he started in the game a little too late and his trainers have taken him as far as he can go in such a short period of time. Fury doesn't have all the physical gifts that Wilder does, but they are comparable and he has been at the game much longer. His boxing IQ is phenomenal so I just don't see Wilder pulling this one out, but I will always give him a puncher's chance.
hes got about 3 rounds to light fury up. after that, fury's going to break him down again, and it'll be just as brutal as the second fight.
Wilder couldn't beat Fury on the outside, and he couldn't beat him when Fury came forward and fought up close. What makes you think he would do any better if he couldn't stop him at any range?
If they underesimated Fury so badly why was Wilder literally crying after the weigh in for the first fight? and why did he look like he was going to be sick from nerves in the changing rooms prior to the second bout? They underestimated Fury physically in the first bout ...and they underestimated his ability to be physical in the second bout also. Fury is different he easily gets under fighters skin. He knows what buttons to hit.
Looks that Fury looked ring rusty and out of shape when they booked fight with him, then in weight ins they get ....... After first fight probably again had been assumed that this was fluke and after Fury vs Wallin too. Results we saw in Wilder vs Fury II. Almost the same story like before A.J vs Ruiz Jr I in forums and YT comments: easy night in the office, fat panda out of shape etc. Before next fight too: Ruiz will get to sleep etc. Fat panda etc. Nothing from this happened.
Wilder btw looks considerably younger than he is on paper, fresh, such a good reach and difficult to tell that he is not less than 30 y.o.
Look, I have given Wilder tons of stick, his technique is poor, but he has the power to KO anybody. You have to think Fury will win the third fight but you have to give Wilder a legitimate punchers chance.
