Someone started a thread asking whether Floyd could beat GGG at 160, I feel Floyd would have a far better chance beating Charlo at 160 than beating Canelo or GGG at that weight, could Floyd beat this limited hype job at 160?
anyone who suggested floyd should have fought at 160 either doesn't understand why weights are important, or just wanted to see floyd lose. floyd lost his mobility at 154, which is why he only fought blown up welters at that weight. forget about 160.
Limited hype job after beating SD much more decisively than GGG and Jacobs? Floyd stylistically has a better chance against both Canelo (who he already schooled, albeit a pre-prime version) and GGG. Charlo too big, fast and rangey.
Pointless fight. He was past his prime when he fought at 154 and weighed 152 max. I would think he would make a good account of himself because he is that skilled, but at this point the weigh class is too big and Charlo is too unproven to make much of who would win.
That I agree with in that GGG and Canelo's style favor Mayweather because they would go after him. Charlo would definitely use his range making it a more difficult fight stylistically.
What’s the point? Jermall isn’t a better fighter than Floyd but in a different weight class. Wouldn’t prove anything for Jermall outside of there are weight classes for a reason if he did win. Same size and Floyd schools him and that’s it.
it was a catchweight fight. canelo was struggling to make 154 in his previous fight and floyd clearly lost mobility in his cotto and oscar fights, so team canelo offered the catchweight - it was their first offer.
Canelo is a faster counter puncher than Charlo and his high guard is a lot harder to get through than Charlo`s is.
Charlo isn`t skilled enough to catch Floyd and Canelo has mainly counter punched is his last to fights, he is a counter/pressure fighter who draws an opponents lead onto his high guard as he walks forward so he can counter.
