    Absolutely not. I am a Sweet Pea fan but he is not levels above Loma.

    To be honest, I think this would be a tough fight for both as they both wouldn't have faced anyone remotely close.

    I pick Pernell in most hypothetical head to head match ups, but I would give the edge on this one to Loma - twice as many amateur fights, twice as many gold medals, Sweet Pea doesn't have the fight changing punch, although he has a much more significant pro record.

    I think it would be an intriguing fight.

    Tough fight for both guys. I was the biggest Sweet Pea fan and would never lick against him. This would have been a great matchup. Two very smart fighters.

    I missed the part about Lightweight, in which case, Sweet Pea would get slight favouritism. Even though Whittaker was not a weight bully, Loma is a small LW.

    Need to see more of Loma at lightweight. I just give Whitaker the edge in this, but it might be very close in a bout between two high-class operators.

    I don't think Loma gets dominated by anyone other than Pac and Duran (styles).
