Mayweather was 36 when he fought Canelo. And Pacquiao was 40 when he gave Thurman his first loss and made Broner running on his wet pants.

Even Donaire was 37 when he fought Inoue in the famous hard battle.

Those are examples of boxers who has strong discipline and dedication to preserve their body and fitness. And Loma is one of them.

Not to the extent they were for Roy Jones and other fighters who slipped.

His IQ is off the charts.

Loma's big disadvantage is size, not age. He could make 126 fairly comfortably.

Roy jones didn't "slip" until he went from jmw to heavyweight and back down again in his mid thirties. His ring IQ was as high as anyones. Loma without his reflexes or handspeed is a mediocre fighter at best

His best win is against a guy that belongs at 122

Damn, son. Did Lomachenko smash your girlfriend/wife and then ghost her?

He was a lot flashier at the lower weights, especially at 126. Now he seems more one dimensional, so to speak.
Sort of like Floyd progressed as he aged. And hell, same with Manny. They slowed down but also got more compact and precise.

You realize the same thing you said about Loma can be applied to Roy. Roy was never a great boxer. Roy was one of the most naturally gifted boxer. Speed ,reflex , and power. When the speed and reflex diminished he was getting knocked out cold from mediocre fighters.

I see Loma differently. He is very technical. The way he slips and counters. Roy has always been hand at waist and I’m going to punch you kinda fighter.

Dude, Rigo belongs at 118 and always has.
At some point he was like 124 on fight night. Against Loma he was a mere 130 lbs on fight night. Loma himself wasn´t that much heavier, unofficially weighing 137. But those 7 lbs are an entire weight class.

Thankfully, Rigo finally did move down in weigh and looked to be gunning for a fight with Inoue.
Finally Rigondeaux is no longer dwarfed by his opponents.

 Hell no. Just look at the techniques he is using.
Nothing about Loma yells out: "Special athlete!".

"Just look at the techniques he is using"

His effectiveness hugely dependent on his reflexes and speed. Couldn't even comprehend how anyone would disagree with that. Are you saying he's slow and has poor reflexes?

I am saying that he isn´t someone like Roy Jones. Or Ray Leonard.
    Lomachenko is technique first.

So what was Roy's excuse for getting slept multiple times?
