I think Zanon might actually get away with a round or two, he could be pretty slippery. It'd be a miracle if he lasted 5.
Foreman and Shavers both said he was the hardest puncher he ever fought, something Bugner said as well until he faced Shavers.
In fairness, Joe had just lost a fight he should have won so, to quote Mandy Rice Davies, " He would say that wouldn't he ".
Lyle is actually the sort of contender Bruno tended to look good against although the use of the word "Prime" maybe bad news for Frank.
What causes me to look so unfavorably upon Bruno is that his best wins, other than McCall are over older guys, like Coetzee, Tillis, and Williams. Also, he couldn't even defeat an out-of-Shape Witherspoon.
That's just what I mean Billy. Frank barely fought a prime contender let alone beat one. The big names on his record had all been there and were on the slide or actually retired.
I agree w/ you 100% then. The only A level fighter Bruno ever beat in his prime was McCall of course, but all he did was survive in the final rounds, which didn't look good. Actually, imo, Bruno's best night was against Floyd Cummings, which was the only time Bruno won an all-out war.
