No, vitali has very good head movement with an excellent counter. Why wouldn’t fury use his reach to go to the body? His last fight he battered wilders body. Vitali is of a similar frame, maybe what 10 pounds heavier
He dropped Wilder with a body shot but wilder was already badly hurt. Fury isn’t a body puncher and I don’t think we should just assume he’ll suddenly become one against Vitali.
But someone with good movement and who likes to fight off the back foot, it’s one of the best options
Read the opening post. The criteria is clearly inquiring which boxers could STOP Vitali while focusing on the body. I was never disputing that Fury could possibly beat Vitali using his usual style. That's an entirely different discussion.
Fury coming in at his weight on wilder 2 of course he could. Chris Byrd stopped vitali with his superb defence, causing the injury. Byrd also landed an insane amount of body punches
Klitschko landed 132 of 502 total punches (26%) and 115 of 326 power shots (35%). Byrd connected on 124 of 284 total punches (44%) and 82 of 163 power shots (50%).
Backing up an off balance guy with no skills while you have a 50lb weight advantage isn’t gonna be as easy as backing up Vitali
And then you woke up and realized it was just a dream. Rocky won't even see 10 rounds, Vitali uses him for a ragdoll.
Some of you have to go watch Vitali fight Byrd. Byrd lost every round and was stunned when Vitali quit because of his injured shoulder.
In fact, Lewis worked on that cut because he was in very grave danger of being knocked out himself. He retired rather than give Vitali a rematch.
