I am sure that you all saw the story around the internet. Fury says that he is absolutely fighting in December, regardless of whether Wilder is on the other side or not. I would rather see him against any qualified B-lister, just as long as he is not a retread, as there is no intrigue in another Wilder fight. I don't want to see Washington, Breazele, Ortiz, Chisora III, etc. Just a fresh face is all I ask: Milas, Romanov, Kabeyal...
Realistically the only opponent from the WBC top 15 would be Agit Kabayel who signed with Top Rank last year.
Well, it's sort of up in the air whether Whyte is still the WBC mandatory. If he loses again he shouldn't be. If he wins...
Everyone wants to see Fury vs Joshua, perferably for all the belts. These GD mandatories are getting in the way.
Fury will be facing someone like Tom Schwarz then. Someone with a good record on paper and a decent ranking, who is absolutely useless.
Reality is with the useless politicians locking us all down because of a virus that is about as deadly as a fart we won't get any big fights. Be excited for Chisora Usyk & Whyte Povetkin. The B-tier heavyweights who are perfectly aligned to fight during this situation with no crowds (although it still hurts their bottom line) AJ, Wilder and Fury won't be fighting top men this year or even early next year. AJ has Pulev, but that's just a knockover job. Fury should rematch Wallin in December. That would be lit! Wilder should knock out another potato and build his hype up. Fury Wilder call off will be officially announced in the next week or two. They will claim it will go ahead early next year, but in reality that won't happen either and both men will have "step in" opponents.
Only a very small percentage of people die of it though, and I think those who are vulnerable to it should stay home, those who aren't should be able to take the risk. But IMO the fact that we came out of lockdown in the first place and what we've been doing after is stupid. We should have just stayed in it for 1-2 more months and then just came out of it.
Percentages mean nothing were talking about human lives. I personally know someone who just died of covid and he would be alive and healthy today had he never encountered it. Telling me he's a part of a small percentage doesn't mean a thing to me
I have a family member who is very high risk and is probably one of the MOST exposed people in society. The only people who I can think of who would be more exposed are hospital staff working a covid ward without suitable PPE (which was only the case early this year) So don't come at me with your emotional crap. I'm not trying to disregard and downplay the dangers of said virus, it's all a balancing act. This is long discussion for another thread. Just making the point that it seems as though most countries are siding with an overly safe play which means no big fights.
