The Bridges/Ball fight is basically just a chapter of the Shannon Courtenay story as far as Matchroon are concerned. It’s all about building the Ball V Shannon rematch with a World title at stake. (Side note - If I was Ball and the rematch is made, I’d insist Courtenay has to make the weight or the fights off and she also gets Courtenay’s half of the purse).

Been happening for years now. Matchroom has more interest in promoting a character or a story than a boxer. Look at Babic and Allen as two perfect examples. No they’re not alone in that but they are the worst for it in the U.K.
