Murray feared the power of Groves which is why he went into a shell and didn't come out of it for most of the fight.

Murray gave his opinion on who hit harder

“The biggest puncher I’ve faced for one punch, Groves, just a back hand. It felt like there was more power in there. Golovkin’s was more of a thud. Every shot was hard. His jab was like a ramrod. It was solid. Everywhere he hit you, you felt it. Whereas when I fought Groves I was just thinking about his back hand. Because he’s got great power in that backhand," Murray said to Boxing News.

"So I think for one-punch power I would pick Groves but for consistency, constant power, it’s obviously Golovkin"

Look at who they fought and how many fights they had.

Malinga was stopped on 2 TKOs right at the end of his career.

Roy was the only guy to knock him out in his prime.

He fought big punchers in Benn x 2 and Eubank, as well as guys like Roch, Holmes and Reid.

This was whilst Roy was still at MW.

So how was it not an impressive win?

Vanes M has never fought guys like Benn and Eubank etc.

Hill was only ever knocked out for a 10 count by Roy.

Hill fought up at CW, and he fought Hearns, Dariusz M and Tiozzo.

Murray never fought any guys of that calibre, at those weights.

I'm not saying it wasn't a good win. I am saying that Malinga got cracked on other occasions.

He's fought guys that can punch like Charlo and Greene and was OK.

Groves, Abraham, Martinez etc are all heavy handed and he survived them fine. Hill was stopped by Mormeck who is an average to above-average puncher.

You are just a stats man.You are not applying context to anything , neither have you watched the fights. You have very limited boxing knowledge and your overall level of intelligence is very limited too.Virgil Hill had a granit chin, Sosa had a decent chin too. I am not too familiar with the other two fighers but at least I am not saying anoything then unlike you.You just have no idea what you are talking about, stats man:lol::lol::lol:

I didn't think Golovkin's win against Murray was all that impressive. Murray had lost almost every round and needed a KO to win and it just wasn't going to happen. He was bloodied, not throwing much in return and was spent, which led the ref to step in and stop Murray on is feet.

I'm not saying the stoppage was a bad one. Golovkin's trademark persistence won the day, but Murray fading in the latter stages of a bout is not something we hadn't seen before - and that was a couple of years prior. Murray was already done at the weight and moved up in his very next fight.

Golovkin is heavy handed, but grinding a past prime Middleweight down to a late stoppage is not the same as Jones dropping a prime and very game Tate with one, sharp left-hook.

You're not a very bright individual, are you? I'm guessing that you are one of the little runts that hangs about behind the bigger members of a gang, hurling popcorn and trying to look tough by proxy. Go get an ice cream and sit down in the corner.

Anyone picking Jones is a clown. These are the same clowns that won’t admit that Vitali Klitschko is also probably the hardest hitting heavyweight of all time despite having such a huge KO percentage

I think that Murray is a fair bit better than Tate as a boxer, though.

Whatever stats man :lol::lol: If you know anything about Virgil Hill, you would know he has a granit chin. This guy took flush shots from punchers like Hearns or Michalchewski without even blinking. You do not know ****

Their power was different. Jones had speed and pop like Tyson, GGG had that George Foreman moves you with every punch weight behind it.

GGG harder puncher, you could say Jones is a better puncher, faster puncher, takes you unawares, whatever. GGG is a harder puncher.
