Well, looks that Wilder is a bit too hyped guy. He did not had fought plenty of TOP 10 - TOP 15 boxers. Hometown tittle defenses, then all internet was full with his fans claims how easily he will beat up this slow and old Ortiz, already problems. Then since 2018 th nice talks how easily he will KTFO rusty Fury and how out of shape etc Fury is. Only stuff he is doing in boxing is to be wild and launch right hand + he is lanky giraffe that needs distance.
BS is also that if someone is a prizefighter, he is able to earn money only by fighting. or should to prove something to someone, nope, he might accumulate some capital and turn into business, why not? I hope that at least "better" culture like U.S does know some tips about capital usage and money earning with money they already does have? HW is marquee division just because fans sometimes does not respect anyone if they think they are able to beat up. The same welter weight division does have higher number of boxers and concurrence than even CW, not alone HW division.
This thing with Wilder, that the his opponent, aka X fighter in order to win the fight, needs to avoid his right hand for full 12 round has worn-out. Fury in the second fight eated a lot of right hand, yet he wasn`t hurt at all. And Fury chin is nothing really special, and i will even call it a bit on the weaker side. Not to even mention that Wilder himself carry a glass jaw, and can be stretched by absolutely anyone who knows how to throw a decent punch. Usyk will school him !!!
No, opponent supposed to loose in Wilder hometown should avoid few blows and then clinch him, manhandle hometown guy or KO him with counter striking or simple beatup. No one should expect to win Wilder on cards in U.S or avoid hometown boy's punches. Wilder is low skilled can crusher with hometown fanbase and he is a pupp if compare even with Liston.
I picked Wilder by kncokout due to him being a natural heavyweight with a big punch & Usyk yet to be tested at heavyweight. WIlder is also a lot taller with a considerably longer reach. Usyk also kinda stands straight up - which is disaster for a smaller fighter (or any fighter) against Wilder. But Usyk does have a chance & I wouldn't be surprised if he won.
Way to high a ring iq Usyk. I could see him aggressive quite early with Wilder and surprising everyone, he won’t want to stand off, he’ll want mid range and combos, they’ll hurt wilder with frequency in the end. I think he’d fall apart by 10
no, he’s done it right. Cleared out the division he was at then start at heavy. He wouldn’t have his rep as arguably the greatest cruiser ever if he didn’t, it would’ve been stupid
