Dave Allen vs Christian Hammer is set for the Usyk vs Chisora card

Bit of a weird one.

Povetkin and Ortiz couldn’t stop Hammer so Allen won’t and I don’t see him winning on points

 

I like this fight as well. 2 heavies with, IMO, nothing to lose. Neither will be a world champ, neither is going to get a #1 ranking. See who the better man is

 

Weird matchup. Hammer should win in a kind of grinding, probably quite boring, fight. Allen has a granite chin with no skills, and Hammer has a solid chin with mediocre skills, which should prove the difference here.

 

Should be a competitive fight as both guys should have pride.

 

A matchup between two gatekeepers is generally a good one so I'm on board with this one. I fancy Hammer to take the W, he gave Ortiz a good fight unlike Allen who was beaten down.

 

Hammer will win comfortably on points. He's a decentish gatekeeper who's better than what he's given credit for. Allen will just take unnecessary shots throughout the fight, hoping to land his overhand right at some point but Hammer is durable enough to take it.

I'm guessing that Hearn is gonna use Hammer from now on for his HWs coming through?

 

He should, at least Hammer provides a solid test, Allen is a one dimensional punch bag.

 

Makes very little sense for Allen. Hammer should win a clear decision in a good scrap nonetheless.

I'd actually pick Beterbiev to smash up Allen. Anyone else agree?

Eh. I see Hammer putting on a clinic albeit a boring one. He may fall short at the world stage but he's a solid notch+ above a guy like Allen.
