My fellow german Kabayel would be fine. But what s about Briedis? He wants to go to the HW division. He has good skills and knows how to look good against anyone. He KOed Charr big time back in 2015, he gave Usyk all what he could handle.
Anybody naming a decent level, top 20 heavyweight or better, has not followed Tyson Fury for long. He doesn't like a challenge in between big fights. Wallin giving him trouble was a nightmare situation for him. He's one of the few in the sport who has less need (and seems not to like) to take on decent level tune up/in-between fights, because he's just so gifted that he can come off the back of looking average in beating a Pianetta level opponent...to just switch it on and win like the world class champion he is on the big occasion. Whilst he has obviously made moves to change this for mental health reasons as much as any...the evidence of this is also in his past. He ballooned in weight between every fight prior to his hiatus....he doesn't like to take things seriously all the time and is self-admittedly not what you'd call the model pro. Again, whilst I stress that he now seems to work harder than ever before, still I expect this fight to be a low level opponent.
Whyte might fight vs Fury in december instead of 2 nd fight vs Povetkin. He is from U.K and might be easier to settle broadcasted fight cos this covid stuff around and safety measures, uncertainity etc.
I have been telling you since August it is going to be Kabayel. https://www.boxingforum24.com/threa...ts-agit-kabeyal-this-year-make-a-pick.653484/ Hunter, Huck, Milas, Romanov all good long-shots. Breidis would be inspired matchmaking. But it will be Kabayel. You think like I do. It is going to be Kabayel, but Breidis would be inspired. Given the size difference, it is a relatively safe fight, and yet, because Breidis is such an outstanding cruiserweight champ with heavyweight experience, it would be a bit intriguing. Breidis would get fistfulls of money, and he would have nothing to lose, since no one would hold it against him if he lost. But it is going to be Kabayel because... Spot on, with the caveats that Kabayel is a high-end, low level opponent, is ranked 15, and Fury doesn't take tough tune-ups because he has been around boxing his whole life, he understands the business end, and he saves his tough nights for when he is getting paid (give or take a Wallin).
Fury will blow through kabayel in 2 rounds it willl be tom schwarz style beatdown unless kabayel is tougher than we know, havnt seen him tested yet.
Thing is, there is no A-lister available. Maybe Hunter, but that would be the absolute apex of what is left. Apparently Helenius wants the fight, but I would rather see the fresh face than the retread. Helenius has had a good see-saw career, and battled back from some dark years, but he has to decisively beat Chisora and Yuri Bykhoustsu before I want to see him in with the greatest of our times. I think you may be selling Kabayel a little short. He's got the wins over Chisora, Rudenko, Hubeuax, Rovcanin, Olukon...not bad. I would say he is credible.
As soon as they said they would be looking for an opponent in December my gut reaction was helenius.. underwhelming to be honest. I'd prefer Rivas or Hunter.
You made a good call on this a long way out. Even if it's not Kabayel in the end ... the situation has come close enough. I think Kabayel is also a good call because Fury can negotiate the right terms easily, and reduce down the possible complications, including an upset being rectified with a quick rematch if need be.
Please! One defence against Fury was a hopeful cherry pick The 2nd was a matter of pride after it all went wrong It continues to go wrong 2 mandatory derences Ok, how about the other 6? Agit would most probably be Wilders 2nd to 3rd best opponent
