I think it looks like Kabayel. He’s easily marketable I suppose after he beat Chisora up. Be a much better tune up than (I) anticipated.
That's alright really. He's pretty durable but not near Fury's level. Should be a pretty routine Fury win. In the current situation it's about the best opponent it could've been.
Kabayel would be a good opponent. My top choice would have been Hunter, but I can live with this fight.
I think Hunter is too awkward and difficult for Fury to look good against. I'd expect him to win, but I don't think two boxers of similar-ish styles would make for good viewing.
Kabayel is a quality heavyweight, I look forward to Dec 6th when undoubtedly one or two posters on here will tell us that he was a crap all along purely cos Fury has beaten him.
It's a very decent fight given the current situation. He's also good enough for Fury to take him seriously. As we know, he tends to fight to the level of opponent and too often in his career has he slacked off if he didn't rate the opposition.
I agree, it will be interesting to see how he fights stylistically after that Wilder fight. Do we see a more aggressive front foot Fury going for the stoppage or is it back to the fighting on the back foot and popping the jab?
Shame Whyte had a rematch clause as I don’t think many would of objected to Povetkin getting one last shot after his string of fights against Hughie, Hunter and Whyte.
Im not debating he’s good. But I’m curious to see what you think of Pulev if you describe Kabayel as a quality heavyweight? I’ve seen many on here describe pudding Pulev as a terrible fight with Joshua but IMO he’s a level or two above Kabayel.
I have to disagree here i think Pulev is well past his best and at his best he wasn't very good. I personally think Kabayel beats Pulev pretty comfortably at present he is much younger and much fresher, Pulev while having pretty decent skills is just simply too old now and just wants the AJ payday to retire on.
I'd have both Pulev and Kabayel around the same level currently. Pulev is more proven, career-wise, but he's 39 years old. Kabayel is 28. Neither of them belong in a top 10 currently really, top 15 maybe, easily top 20. Pulev maybe a place or two above Kabayel on a reasonable list. The AJ-Pulev fight is bad as a styles clash, in my opinion. It's also bad in the sense that Pulev is mandatory and this has been on Joshua's calendar forever. I'm not sure Fury-Kabayel is a good fight either but with the Wilder fight off, and at 8 weeks notice, as a tick over, weighing the options, it's okay.
