Not possible is it??? Whyte holds no mando and would face a court battle with Povetkin and team if that were to go ahead Povetkin is the mando
Kabayal is looking more and more likely by the day. He shouldn’t give Fury too many problems. if Fury didn’t have to defend it against someone in the wbc top 15 then I would’ve expected someone in the top 100 on boxrec like Tyrone spong who they almost fought as a warm up before wilder/fury 1
Blah, blah, blah. Wilder defended against the World champ twice, against #3 Ortiz twice, made two defenses against mandatories ... you said Agit was better than 99 percent of Wilder's defenses. How many defenses do you think he had? You guys have spent five-plus years bashing Wilder. There are a thousand threads on that topic. This is a Fury-opponent thread. Time to hold the magnifying glass over the other champs. Will it be Fury vs. Jean Pierre Coopman next? Or will it be Tom McNeeley? Or Joe "King" Roman?
Huck, Milas and Romanov aren't rated by the WBC. Fury has to fight a rated WBC fighter. He can't pull a Schwarz out of his cap this time, unless they decide to label it an exhibition or Fury vacates the belt. Unfortutnately, Kabayel is in the 15th and final spot. So, you're probably right. Unless the new ratings do us all a favor and bounce him. If Fury was supposedly preparing to fight the #1 contender, I have no idea why he has to suddenly take the absolute worst possible alternative. The "I need to get sharp" excuses are kind of over.
As ranked: Inter: Povektin - Busy 1. Wilder - Out 2. Usyk - Busy 3. Ortiz - 4. Ruiz Jr. - just back apparently rebooting/training, highly doubt would fight Fury 5. Whyte - Busy 6. Parker - Busy 7. Dubois - Busy 8. Rivas - 9. Hrgovic - They are ''developing him'', highly doubt he fights Fury now. 10. Hunter - 11. Joyce - Busy 12. Chisora - Busy 13. Martin - 14. Ejagba- 15. Kabayel- So it's out of these fighters and they'd probably accept, but who knows: Ortiz - Old Rivas - Small Hunter - Small, up from cruiser Martin - Charles Martin Ejagba - Kabayel - When you break it down, Fury can't really get any credit here no matter what. Best would probably be Hunter, who is much smaller.
I'd be interested in Ejagba personally. 6FT 6 and a KO man. Would be interesting and also the most AJ type of fighter fury could fight,
Have to agree with this. Wilder has been ripped apart for his resume and taking on weak defences, so why would Fury get a pass? If Fury is indeed head and shoulders above the rest of the division, then show us. Kabayel doesn't cut it.
Martin isn't that bad, he'd be okay. He's a fairly big guy, so it won't look so much like a size mismatch. But my first choice would be Ajagba - he's the only one who might have a real chance of winning.
Jennings would be a good pick. He's available and has already been over when he fought Joyce. Tackam is another guy who would give Fury some work
Neither is ranked. Ortiz is the highest rated available contender and he's already training. Should be him. Taken four days ago: https://pbs.twimg.com/media/Ej53m-pVgAAvea3?format=jpg&name=900x900
