Yeah, same. I don't think much of Ajagba at this stage of his career and he's nowhere near ready. I'd be suprised if it wasn't Kabayel tbh.

I don't think Hunter would be a very good spectacle so I can't see it being him. They'll want Fury to look good, and ideally get a nice KO win. Hunter would be awkward and I don't think the styles would gel very nicely.

The best chances of a big KO happening from that list would be Martin or Ajagba I think. Sounds like Kabayel is being lined up. Not a terrible option in the circumstances.

I think it will be Kabayel. Obviously a Top Ranked fighter makes it more likely, but the fact he was last EBU champ, has a silly WBA continental title and most importantly, he's unbeaten will help sell the fight as Fury taking yet another man's '0' after Schwarz and Wallin.

Dillian whyte must be kicking himself. If he had fought a nobody in August he would be the only choice in December. He would have had his shot. Instead he is fighting a guy who has just knocked him out for the chance to wait another year to get his shot.

The advice he has been given has been terrible. Even rivas who whyte beat has a chance of fighting for the wbc belt in December.

I agree. Can't see any justification in calling Pulev a midget.

He is however 39 years old ...... and at 33 in his prime he was destroyed by a 38 year old Wlad, so it would also be a bit foolish to expect him to put up much resistance against any top prime heavyweight now.

That's somewhat unfair. He's done fine at Euro level and he beat Chisora (who is probably Pulev's best win since the loss to Wlad too) and he's 28 years old.
Other fighters have been deemed "world class" for beating Chisora. I'm not saying Kabayel is or isn't, but he shouldn't be discredited either.
The fact is, there's far more chance of Kabayel showing improvement or putting up a career best performance at 28 than there is of old man like Pulev doing that at 39.

Frankly, I don't expect much from Pulev or Kabayel.
I think partisan Joshua fans are going to focus on Pulev being a 'bigger name' and 'mandatory' and how he is more proven than Kabayel and ignore the glaring fact of him being another old man. No doubt "Pulev" will be added to the list of names that somehow proves AJ has this amazing resume, while Kabayel will be mocked by them as a bum on Fury's record. Partisan Fury fans will probably do the opposite.

If he had fought a nobody in August he wouldn't have been paid much for it. He needed someone reasonable good to get his PPV loot.

I don't think anyone knew Fury-Wilder 3 would be called off, so they couldn't exactly advise Whyte along those lines.

The entire situation is sad. Fury wants to fight. Wilder doesn't want to fight. Arum wants to serve up another bum like Wallin, Schwarz or Pianeta. Us fight fans want anything so a lot of you are willing to watch a crap match like Fury vs Kabayel. A real champ would test himself and fight the best available guy like Rivas, Ruiz or one of them. Fury will fight Kabayel because he is the lowest rated guy that Fury can get away with fighting. And many of you are saying that it's ok as long as it doesn't mess up the AJ unification fight. Exactly how many passes does Fury get? A pass for fighting bums like Sefari and the rest. A pass for taking steroids. More passes now that he is the WBC champ but doesn't want to risk the belt

Nah, well, I'm saying Kabayel is "okay" because Rivas is probably no better .... (I mean, what makes Rivas 'better' than Kabayel ??) ..... and Ruiz Jr. is a fat guy that I wouldn't expect to be ready for 5th December.
Look at the options. The guys who are available, Michael Hunter is the only one I'd rate as particularly more credible than Kabayel.
So, yeah, I hope it turns out to be Hunter. If not him, then Rivas or Kabayel.

I'm guaranteeing you it will be Kabayel because it fits with the narrative they have pushed before. Hes not a big puncher, he's undefeated and he has almost no chance at beating Fury. Hunter would be a good fight, which is exactly why they wont pick him. Fury has fought as many bums as Wilder did and that's hard to do. Fury has also never defended a belt, which is why I cannot call him the #1 heavyweight

100% argee. I cannot understand how fight fans can't see through a guy like Fury. It baffles me. He consistently fights bums and avoids the better fighters. He took steroids. And when given a chance to step up like right now, he will choose another bum. And somehow he will polish a terd to fight fans ans they will call it steak.

The thing is, last time we heard all this stuff about Fury avoiding punchers and going for soft touches, Wallin actually come out and gave him a tough fight.
Wallin actually gave Fury more trouble than Klitschko did, and a lot more trouble than Wilder did in the rematch ..... so, the predictions of what constitutes a "good fight" or a "risky fight" go out the window.

Kabayel is quite a bit more credible than Schwarz or Wallin anyway.
Kabayel is nothing special but he is as credible as Rivas.

I'd expect Fury to beat him easy. But I'd expect Fury to beat Hunter easily too.
    But who knows.

I see no problem with Kabayel as an opponent as he proved himself by beating a very good proven Euro level fighter in Chisora (so hes a step up from the Wallins and Schwarz's plus beating Chisora is as good as any win Wilder has on his resume).

Granted i would prefer Rivas to him, not because I reckon Rivas is a better fighter ( in my opinion Rivas vs Kabayel could go either way). However I do believe Rivas is a bigger threat to beating Fury than Kabayel. Rivas has slow foot work so you would expect Fury would just to constanly move, keep distance and aim to work the jab all night. Rivas does however have KO power, and he carries this untill late stages of fight (eg Jennings and Whyte) and we all know Fury has a suspect chin. Whilst Kabayel will try to out box Fury and you would have to favour Fury to be the victor. Still decent opponent nonetheless.

    AJ vs Pulev
    Fury vs Kabayel

Have the winners fight each other early next year for a unification.

Has the fight been confirmed for PPV? I don't think a fight like this should cost the fans anything really.

Which of these would you class as "bums" ?

    Hunter
    Rivas
    Kabayel
    Ajagba
    Martin

Personally, I think Martin and Ajagba are the worst of those choices.
    Rivas and Kabayel are equal.
Hunter is the best of those lot.

Don't know why people try to diss the Wallin win. (Before the fight .. ok he was a no one.) But Wallin proved in that fight he's a solid fighter.. top 15 heavyweight.
