Povetkin in my opinion will wear Whyte down and catch him in the later rounds. Dillian isn't a good enough boxer to do what Joshua did, and jab from distance.

Whyte will punch holes in him and get the job finished this time

Everyone is talking about how Whyte will improve this, and whyte will improve that...

.... few people are talking about how Povetkin could change also??

Povetkin is intelligent, he will focus more on his strengths this time I think.

    Interview with Povetkin's promoters -

"Everything is going according to plan, we have started sparring work," said his trainer Ivan Kirpa to Sky Sports.

"We are working on a technical solution to neutralize Whyte's short left hook - obviously this is a technique he always does in every fight. The team is in a good working mood. We treat revenge with full dedication and understanding of everything that happens."

    -------------------------

This makes me feel more confident of a Povetkin win

Povetkin is borderline shot, looked every day of his near 41 years against Whyte, and is declining noticeably from fight to fight. It's there for the much fresher, much younger, much heavier and much longer Whyte to win but despite his age and clear decline Povetkin could score another HL reel KO at anytime.

Yeap, I feel Whyte will change little and Povetkin will change quite a lot. Povetkin knows what went wrong for him aswell. He knows what sort of jabs and bodypunches are waiting for him.

I think Whyte still underestimates Povetkin. I don't say Whyte is running into an open knife, he can win the rematch, but he can lose it aswell. I favor Povetkin to find the solution on time. Still around a 50/50 fight.

I think Whyte will box cautiously and catch the completely shot Povetkin at some point. It's not because I think Whyte is great (obviously not), but because Povetkin looked terrible to me on his legs. The KO was a last gasp shot and he would have gotten taken out in short order imo.

Poor Aydamm. I figured he wouldn't show up and sure enough, he has lived down to my expectations.

The only issue is Povetkin never really looked that hurt to me. He got up immediately. I feel as if Whyte will have make himself very vulnerable to beat Povetkin.

It may just be a 50/50 risk for both fighters.

I agree, caution will be the order of the day much as it was in the second Ruiz Jr vs Joshua. Whyte can't afford a second slip up and the longer it goes on the more his advantages of age should come into play.

The fact that Aydamn is still gone is hilarious. He'll be back jerking off everywhere if Whyte wins.

Honestly Povetkin is shot. He won because he is a thinking man's fighter. His technical ability allowed him to outthink and out maneuver Whyte. However Whyte is a big puncher very heavy handed and Povetkin's resistance was clearly diminished last fight. He is 41 and while he was competitive with Whyte he was slowly being broken down. I'm not sure either man can improve, Povetkin becuase of age and Whyte because of ability, on their last performance. I say it's 50/50 but youth usually prevails. I'll be rooting for Povetkin a fighter that has consistently fought good competition for nearly 15 years now.
