When you post about Lewis, steam actually comes out of my ears. The Mrs. finds it alarming.

Outside of the first round, Ali hardly used speed against Foreman at all. Fitness? His work rate was almost non-exsistant in some of these rounds.

You only need heart neccisarily if you were as imobile as Ali was, though he showed guts, for sure.

We will never know. I honestly thought Golota could have/should have beaten Lewis.

George is way too slow to catch a prime Lennox. There is no way he would take a fight like that lightly, and his movement would be too much for Foreman. The same reason why Foreman avoided Larry Holmes.

Why are people hating on Foreman for his fight against Lyle? :patsch

So what he was wobbled and hurt, but he got up and dropped Lyle in the same round. He got up to win.

Lewis went down V McCall, yes it was a premature stoppage, but Lewis looked on ***** street.

    Lewis was KO'd by Rahman.

He never got up to win.

Who did McCall KO before Lewis?

Foreman was in Post-Ali Mode, and gave us one of the greatest fights in Boxing History.

Why anaylse and moan about it?

Corrales nearly got KO'd by Castillo in their first fight. So what? It was an ATG Battle.

Ali was dropped by a 185 pound Cooper. So what?

    He got up to win.

Ron Lyle was better than McCall and Rahman. McCall and Rahman are known for just one thing. KO'ing Lewis. That's it.

Foreman was knocked out by Ali. So what?

McCall and Rahman are not ATG or legends.

Plus Lyle has a better resume than McCall and Rahman before he even fought Foreman. No he didn't win them all but he showed grit and determination than 90% of Lewis's victims in that Foreman Fight.

    Lyle was a Tough Guy.

Lyle hit Foreman with shots that would KO Lewis. Yes Foreman showed no Defence, that is clear, but he did it because he wanted to.

Look at Lewis V Vitali. He fought that way because he wanted to. Because he was not in the condition to do anything else.

Remember the style Foreman used V Chuvalo? Foreman would have beaten Lyle easier with a style like that but George fell in love with his own power.

Mercer, Briggs and people like that hurt Lewis so why won't Foreman have a chance to KO him.

Would a prime George lose to McCall and Rahman?

People bring up that Foreman lost to Young.

At least he wasn't the defending Champion, unlike lewis who lost to two guys who were supposed to be tune-ups when he was supposed to be the Undisputed Heavyweight Champion of the World.

Foreman never gave up in his career, unlike Tyson, even when he was an ancient monument.

You've posted this post before years ago, except with Marciano. I saved it-

    - and on a similar note-

    - finally I believe I've posted this before-

Lewis has too much power, too much reach/height, too much speed and too much skill. Foreman never faced such a monster; when he faced a similar task which was barely half the challenge, in the form of Ron Lyle, he was nearly knocked out twice. Lewis would not go easy on Foreman.

    Lewis TKO2.

    Lewis wins.

He is far larger, better technically than anyone a prime Foreman fought and hit harder than anyone prime Foreman fought. Foreman was technically rubbish, he stuck his hands up in the air like Rahman did, Lewis would evade Foremans amateuirsh and slow clubbing swings and jab Foremans face in and then land thunderous rights.
If Foreman could get dropped by the feather fisted Ali and Young imagine what Lewis would do.
Lewis would not underestimate Foreman and his defence would be upto par.

He'd win by KO in 8.

He isn't being hated on because of the Lyle fight, the Lyle fight is being used as a precident to describe what can happen to Foreman when he's in with a puncher two or three levels below Lewis in composite terms and further below him in terms of class.

A focused and respectful Lewis never gets caught.

In addition, Foreman is WAY too easy to hit for a guy like Lennox.

Lennox TKO 10 after he breaks him down.

I talked to George a few yrs back in Houston he said then that he would never have wanted to meet Lewis in the ring. Whether he was serious or not who knows
