Great fight. It will be interesting to see how AJ deals with Pulevs jab (arguably the best in the divison). For me though, Pulev moving in vertical lines and lack of head movement will make him too much of a easy target for AJ to land. If AJ wins this then he's beaten 5 of current top 10 (Povetkin, Whyte, Parker, Ruiz and Pulev).
Not sure that's accurate. Don't think anything's been signed. They've verbally agreed to fight and to a 50/50 split. Nothing more than a handshake agreement unless I'm mistaken.
I mean, really? “Great”? It’s an alright fight. Not even sure Pulev is necessarily nailed on top 10 anymore to be honest. He’s old now and looked terrible in his last fight. It’s a mandatory so no complaints from me at the existence of the fight and he’s certainly no scrub but calling it a great fight is, well just mental really
Pulev is 39 years old now. Like I've said before, at 33 in his prime he was battered by a 38 year old Wlad. Now he's 39, going against a 31 year old Joshua. If Joshua's even a shadow of the fighter Wladimir was, (and in terms of physicality they are almost identical) - Pulev should be easy work. It's not a good fight.
As long as neither lose (and to be honest that doesn’t necessarily mean it won’t happen) it’s a done deal. So banging on at Hearn and Arum to get the fight done is a waste of energy.
I think both parties want the fight to happen, but think it's jumping the gun a bit to say the fight is signed, or as good as signed. I'm sure there will be lots of other stuff to sort out before the fight is made. Broadcasters for a start.
This content is protected "Should Joshua beat Pulev, guess what, it's going down in April. It's already set." They really shouldn't have said that. Pulev will KO him now.
It’s not a great fight no, but certainly nowhere near as bad as the posters on here would have you believe.
No fights a gimme for Joshua since the debacle last year with Ruiz. Hopefully his knees are fully healed, and they don't rush him in there less than 100 percent again. Pulev will pose bigger problems on the outside than the Mexican. He might not be as durable, but I don't think he's a light hitter than most are making out to be.
