Joshua lost to Ruiz. And then had a rematch with Ruiz. Wilder would still be sitting around, 18 months later, his last fight against Breazeale, waiting for Anthony Joshua, and today DAZN would refuse to air the fight because Wilder wouldn't take a pay cut, like they're doing with Canelo, and Wilder would be in court with them (like Canelo).

The DAZN deal was pure fantasy. DAZN is tanking. Ask Canelo about DAZN deals. The moment Joshua lost, it was, for all intents and purposes, null.

 

Here's an alternative scenario.

What you wrote except becomes another Briggs. Instead of repeating LET'S GO CHAMP, Wilder keeps yelling BOMMMMMB SQAAAAAD at random people. Soon after spends time in a loony bin.

 

There used to be a comedian..can't remember his name...but he did a routine on a bum that would stand on his street corner yelling "It's more than three!" at the top of his lungs all day. He said he would wait until 2 AM, when the guy was winding down after a hard day's rave, and stick his head out of the window and yell back "Hey no it isn't man, it's less than three!" and get him going for another couple of hours.

Whenever I think of that routine, my mind immediately goes to Briggs yelling "let's go champ," and I envision him standing on a street corner, doing it until two in the morning. I can just as easily envision Wilder yelling "bomb squad!" until the police come and pick him up.

That's crazy talk. I hope Wilder fights a top ten guy, as long as its' not the weak punching and small Hunter, who would be his best chance for a victory. IMO he's a KO waiting to happen and is aging.

 

Guy has been found out for what we’ve known all along. Good power not much else. Good forward and box and he’s in big big trouble.

His only hope is to fight a few bums then sit around hoping someone gives him a title shot due to his (laughable) reputation as the most dangerous man in the division.

Reality is if he fight any of the top 10, make than even 15 ot 20 he probably gets beat.

Hes possibly the biggest hype job the hw division has ever seen.

 

He is getting up there in age. I think he will retire after his next loss.

 

Actually, I'm more interested in him being in the mix now he's in the position of needing to make some interesting fights to get another shot at a belt.

 

I think he would do well in a Goofy costume at a Disney Theme park. Only problem could be that it weights 20 lbs.

I see wilder turning into a bitter old fool like Larry Holmes

he will never fight again but will pop up every once in a while to remind us that Fury ducked the third fight that he was definitely going to win and how joshua wouldn’t even get in the ring with him

he will claim to be the hardest hitter of all time and always say he could knockout the current champion with 1 punch then in a very senile manner shout out “BOMB SQUUUUUUAD”

 

This is exactly how his future goes. Plus interspersed with random racist youtube rants as what's left of his brain begins to further deteriorate.
