We just want to see competitive fights in the end.

sick of watching shows where every fight the favourite is in with some unknown bum that gets blasted out in 2 rounds. But I also don’t want to see a good domestic level fighter who’s fairly unproven put in with a world champion.

if Ritson stops the likes of Vasquez and Ohara like Taylor did then fair enough he deserves a shot but I can’t see it myself

Anybody else anticipating a tricky night for ritson? If this was a couple a years ago I'd strongly favour Vazquez though I think he's very much just here for the money now.

Ritson wants a crack at the top guys, fair play but Regis runs through him

At this moment yes but who is to say in a year the situation isn't different?

I can only judge in the moment. In 3 years, Ritson might beat a 36 yr old Bud?

Right now, Ritson gets outclassed, beaten up and stopped. I really don’t think 12 months will change that too much, levels between them

Unless Prograis dramatically declines then Ritson is miles away in terms of ability. Ritson is euro Level at his very best.

I am not as down on Ritson as some of you are.

He started believing his own hype before he took that loss. He is acclimatising to 140 and he may yet have a shot at the title in 12-18 months time. I don't believe that he beats Taylor or Ramirez but if one or both of them go up to 147 he may have a shot. Is he there yet, no, but I believe he still has some growth in him. Whether that is enough, only time will tell.

If he keeps on winning over the next 12-18 months, he will have an opportunity at a title shot because he sells in Newcastle and some champ will be tempted at the money.

Makes sense but 140 will have Teo and Haney post Taylor/Ramirez, added to Zepeda, Prograis and more. I don’t see Ritson achieving much at word level in 140

Ritson should try to get the lad who beat him back in the ring. Ritson is improving and I think he can definitely get his revenge.

He would get beat by prograis at this point. I would prefer to see Taylor rematch prograis it was such a close fight and delivered as well for the ppv.

Taylor will fight ramirez first but if he doesn't move up then a rematch with prograis would be great.

Ritson is ****. If I was Taylor I’d be desperate for that fight. Must be the equivalent of a weeks wages for driving to work one day and then leaving without going in.
