Loma is a great fighter, but was beaten fair and square by a very good young fighter, who was far bigger.

Everyone wants to find the next generational talent but they don’t come around often.

Look at the way Pac and Floyd moved through the weights.

Both Pac and Mayweather moved up multiple weight divisions and got in the ring and beat opponents who greatly outweighed them. I am talking about 20 lbs heavier than they were.

Loma has gone from 126 to 135. Do you realize that is a grand total out 9 lbs. That is how much Loma has risen through the weights. 9 pounds. The argument of "he is too small" is mute. Even if he is is "too small" for 135, he should be back at 126 or wherever he feels comfortable and become the undisputed there.

How many guys did Pac and Floyd beat in their prime on Lopez's level?

Lopez might end up being p4p #1 for the next decade, he looked sharp as ****

Floyd? I think Corrales might be on his level.

As for Pac. Barrera was far above Lopez. Marquez a level or two above. Cotto on a similar level, maybe even a bit better than Lopez.

The idea of Pac and Floyd never beating someone as good as Lopez is ridiculous

I remember watching as an 11 year old Pacquiao literally annihilate, destroy and almost kill an ATG with my own eyes before his brother jumped into the ring full of tears.

The idea that the Cotto that Manny beat “might” be better than Lopez is hilarious

Remains to be seen.. He seems better than Canelo was at 23 at the moment.

I have a Floyd av to trigger the anti floyd bums on here, but I have equal respect for Floyd, manny and the underrated marquez

All legendary champions and much better than loma as professional boxers

Part of me agrees although, as things stand, we still don't know how good Teo is.

And Loma might get that rematch (if the money's good enough).

While I agree context is important floyd was a natural 147lber by the time he hit his prime around 30 and remember he could not even make 144 vs Marquez. Floys was at the lower weights but as with most fighters around the age of 30 as their body filled out he was a legit 147lber Nd could not make weight at 140. The same with Pacquiao to a lesser extent i think his natural weight peaked at 135-140.

Pacquiao packs on pounds to "make" 147.

Lomachenko was 141.4 two weeks out and had to lose weight to make 135.

Pretty much. But Loma is taller and Pac has 2X bigger calves.
