If anything, it’ll happen again with the same thing. There was no rematch clause for a reason. They had it. Now I can talk my s***.

“They [Team Lomachenko] didn’t have a rematch clause for a rematch, and they gave me a contract pretty much on the side. ‘If you lose, this is what you’re going to get for your next fights,’ which pretty much was predicting that I was going to lose.

“So it’s fine. Now they got to eat it up, suck it up, and now it’s time for us to take over and move forward. That’s it. I told y’all, ‘Out with the old and in with the new,'” Lopez said about him beating

That kind of sucks. I definitely would understand if Lopez felt slighted in the negotiations to not want a rematch, but that's kind of like the kid that takes their ball home. I think a rematch is justified from a competitiveness standpoint and I think he stands to win more than lose.

No fighter ever stands to win more than lose in a rematch when he already won the first fight convincingly. Hagler never rematched Hearns. He got full credit for the win and never takes a legacy hit for not rematching.

Frazier and Duran gave Ali and Leonard rematches. When it would have been best for their legacy to not.

I don't hear Loma asking for one. His fans want it. Loma seems to have less confidence in winning the rematch than the Lomasexuals do.

what's the point of giving a rematch to someone you won convincingly and without any kind of doubt? someone who broke your eyelid with an intentional headbut by pure impotence, headbut that lomo had been looking for actively since round 8. Why would I give him a rematch? to get my whole face cut? **** off.

tank davis, haney... I dont know, it's not that teo has no better options tbh. **** the headbutter and go for the next challenge.

Yeah, all the class Loma showed in immediately leaving the ring.

You do understand it was team Loma's idea not to have rematch clause, don't you Lomasexual?

Can't be mad when somethin bites you in the ass.

When they announce a 119-109 score card when Loma beat him up for 4-5 rounds in a row (12th Lopez stood his ground and impressed me) then yeah I'd leave the ring too. Loma wasn't robbed, I thought a draw, and wouldn't argue with Lopez edging him out.. but a scorecard like that shows the fix was already in regardless of what Loma did. Can't really blame him for leaving.

Hagler an Hearns could’ve fought 50 times, all 50 would end the same way give or take around. It’s a perfect example of a fight that didn’t warrant a rematch

Absurd Team Loma had no rematch clause fighting in Murica, how stupid and overconfident can these people be. How many times does the corruption have to happen before people work it out.

Lopez can't be complaining about contracts when he had a rigged show. It's far more advantageous to have a handful of rounds in the bank going into a fight than a rematch clause.

The fact he's resisting a rematch shows he knows he got away with something, actually. Because if he really believed those scorecards, he'd gladly rematch Loma, get another 'decisive' victory and be the only guy to beat Loma twice. Imagine the glory then. He's all about the glory, isn't he? I think he's full of ****, by the sounds of it.

Let me tell you people one thing, Loma won't fight anybody for another year to come. He is tired of boxing and doesn't take it seriously right now. I took a close look at him making his way out of the ring and his face just told me that.

Who fixed it? It's Top Rank who has all the money! The conspiracy theories here are idiotic.

    Hard to blame him really.

Loma can thank the arrogance or stupidity of not putting one in the contract, along with the arrogance or stupidity of not starting to fight til half the fight was over.

Sucks for the fans, and for Loma, but hard to blame Lopez here.
