Go into Olympic level amateur gyms with that attitude. Those small guys will lay a civilian like you out for the count.

I don't know about all that but I enjoyed his breakdown on this fight.

Yet he still got his ears boxed off. I'd take bivol over beterbiev too.

Not at all. I'm not saying that I could get back in the gym and sharpen my skills and take on world class fighters but at the same time its not all about power. How many times does a guy like mathysse or Maidana or Pavlik come around only to get schooled?

I believe the upcoming superfight between Eddie Hall and Thor will lay all doubt about physicality to rest.

enough times. take your example, maidana. he arguably beat floyd after a short stint with robert garcia. do you believe the guy who had the career maidana had up to that point, is gonna polish up enough in one camp to stay nose to nose with a certified atg? and if all it takes is one camp, why isnt every other boxer showing that type of progress?

Yes! but physicality alone is not enough to be the toughest fighter in the division. How could the small guy like Ruslan Chagaev beat the giant heavyweight like Nikolai Valuev? So, you need to have things like skills, intelligent, speed, power, and stamina with it.

I agree. But his punching power did play a roll in Loma's low punch output.

Funny thing is that Hurd actually stopped Trout. Meanwhile Trout got robbed by both Charlo´s.
Hurd is a big ass guy and he knows fully well how to utilize that size. He is a very bad example.

Skills built on a foundation of natural physicality is what makes great fighters
