Difference is Floyd would land counters, whereas Loma landed nothing.

Floyd actually threw punches and actually landed stinging counters when his opponent(outside of Maidana) was just using ineffective aggression.. Loma literally just dodged punches and took a couple for 6 of the first 7 rds.. I thought I was watching Adrien Broner the way Loma refuse to throw his hand..

Really, matrix was Frozen with Fear in the first 7 rounds, even his hero Dougie fischer said so plus he lost the 12th too.

Lopez showed he can box and is more than just power. I doubted his boxing skills and guess what...I was wrong like two boy pups licking each other’s red stick.
    Lopez won so RESPECT

Mayweather was a draw that’s why. Loma didn’t deserve those early rounds but the scorecards were bad

Floyd was smart enough to stay in his lane. While Conor was the wannabe boxer.

Conor had dozens of millions of reasons to play that role. Nobody lost.

McGregor's ego was ginormous at the time. He probably did believe he had a chance of winning. He wasn't playing a role. At the end he did win financially big time.

My comment didn't have anything to do with that, it was a response to the poster suggesting that if Mayweather was "man enough", he would have fought Connor under MMA rules. Which is silly.

Loma had half of that right, but he failed to do the other half which is throwing punches. In those early rounds if he managed a little more he could've stolen some of them because of his defense and movement, but he didn't.

Floyd lets his hands go ... Where ????? His hands are so fragile he's cheated with xylocaine shots most of his latter career. The NSAC obliged him by legalizing them when he was caught I believe ROFL. He couldnt even KO Ortiz when he coward like cold cocked a defenseless opponent with his hardest combination. Actually its lucky for Floyd he doesnt have a KO punch or he could easily have killed or at least seriously injured Ortiz Not even Bob & the NSAC could have saved him then. As it was Ortiz was soon up & laughing
