No one's saying it's fake, but I have to question any fighter who goes into a major fight with an injury bad enough that you know after the fight you will need immediate surgery. That plays on your mindset going into a match, and now it all adds up as to why he didn't throw any punches for the first half plus of the match. But again, the smarter decision would have been to cancel the match, get the surgery them come back when you are 100%. To go into a match less than yourself then put on a performance where you don't throw punches for half the match and when you do throw punches you are actively risking injury, it deserves criticism. And for anyone to ignore what happened and still scream robbery when he clearly wasn't at his best and clearly didn't do enough to win, that's utterly ridiculous.

So are you saying they have paid a surgeon & a hospital to lie? Fella, he's been operated on. It's reported over numerous outlets. It was stupid of him and his team not to cancel but maybe they just felt obliged to fight & thought it wouldn't affect his performance to a certain extent and they could manage it.. but it obviously hasn't worked. Big fight, long build up, long lay off, pay cut, obliged to ESPN in a 2020 boxing drought, they are not going to walk around telling people & team
Lopez they are having shoulder problems are they? Ffs.. sorry but you could tell by his demeanour all the day of that fight that there was something amiss, you could see it in
the demeanour of both him and his team…. Look at the locker room footage just before the fight he looked miserable. It was stupid to go ahead , in a way commendable actually too but ultimately a mistake.

& how the fk would people writing YouTube clips know how healthy he is? He's fought his entire career at lightweight with a fked up shoulder so far & little Loma was still inches from unifying

People were excited that he was healthier than ever because that's what his team was saying in the documentary right before the fight. That was a lie and false advertising, hence Top Rank has now deleted that video. Shady ****. I never said they lied about the surgery. Last thing, Loma still did that idiotic **** where he pulls both his arms out violently to come out of a clinch on the fight, that's how you rip your shoulder even if it's healthy.

Shouldn't he have put a rematch clause into the contract in case his injury got worse , or maybe the injury happened during the fight.

Either way , this isn't about Loma hate.

Nobody likes post fights excuses , especially when they are used to deny the other guy of a great win and performance.

Loma seriously needs to take it easy on his body at this point. No shocker he was gonna lose a fight eventually racking up so many injuries.

135 has wreaked havoc on his body. Just go back to 130 & see out his career there.

If thats all true he should have pulled out. There was no PPV or live gate sold. It could have been postponed. .

It does explain his performance too somewhat, he was looking to counter with a big shot, rather than relying on combinations and output.. think he just bit down in the end & went for it.. commendable but dangerous.. it could have ended his career entirely .. his demeanour in the locker room beforehand & the ring walk spoke volumes too. Speedy recovery champ , wish you well regardless of what you chose to do going forward , i'd let the lightweight thing go though now.

Easy to say harder to do, already out of the ring ring 14months, injury needed surgery so add another year on top of that until hes ready to fight again. So 2 years out of the ring with no pay day at lomas age is ****ed. He hasnt earned that much in his career and he aint getting any younger.

Misleading the public, hiding an injury and being so bold to claim he was healthier than ever. Then he gets wrecked then after the fight oh yeah I was injured and now I'm having surgery. Hard to respect TR or anyone on Loma's team after this kind of dishonesty.

I Know he does that like he wants to fight so bad get me out of the clinch. That kinda doesn't work when half the fight you aren't throwing at all even when not in a clinch. And to do that while nursing a shoulder injury. Lomachenko's level of intelligence has to be questioned.

I don’t like this at all either pull out of the fight or don’t mention it at all after the fight.. I see some of the same people that dismissed the fact that Wilder had surgery on his bicep after the Fury fight but are already making an excuse for Loma.. I won’t be that person either you pull out or don’t mention it because is classless. I hated when Pacquiao did, Thurman, Wilder and now Loma..

It’s a disservice to the sport because if this was PPV they wouldn’t have refunded the those who paid under the pretense that both guys were fully prepared for the fight. This really feels like Top Rank had this in the back pocket to hype up a rematch on PPV and promote that a healthy Loma would win..

That's the crazy part about the injury. He's coming off over a year layoff. It's not like he's been active. Do we know when he actually got injured and how did he get injured? With that kind of time off going into a match, it makes fighting with an injury that needed surgery even more stupid.
