Chavez, I consider Marquez prime at 126. He was older and talented enough to win titles at 130+, but he was just doing it to chase after Pacquiao. His opposition at those weights weren't nearly as good as anyone Chavez beat at those weights. He also struggled with Barrera who I think is a great, but not at Chavez's level.

Chavez, close decisions. Marquez is smart, tough and wouldn’t make it easy but Chavez couldn’t really be hurt.

Marquez isn't busy enough to win enough rounds. You don't want to let a rugged yet well rounded guy like Chavez taking control of the pace and funding his rhythm while you look for one big punch. Marquez very likely isn't stopping a prime Chavez so Im not sure how he wins this one outside of a 1/20 punchers chance. His style just doesn't do well here unless Chavez is old or out of shape.

I disagree with most of you... Chavez vs Marquez was not an easy fight for Chavez.. Marquez was a great counter puncher. Chavez would lose staying on the outside and would get hit hard coming in.. Very good fight and hard to call.

Two of my favorites, I think. I'm familiar with Marquez back to his 5th or 6th fight, I've seen him in the gym, sparring. I've seen Chavez spar a couple times.
Chavez is going to beat him. It won't be easy because Marquez comes to fight, is a very smart guy with a lot of skill. But Chavez has just a little bit more in every category. Hard fight, start to finish, but a clear one for Chavez.
