Peter Buckley, 300 bouts and he didn't touch the canvas once.

Hopkins chin rarely gets mentioned but he had a great mandible.

Lewis has a far better chin than his detractors would ever concede.

Michael Spinks chin at light heavy never gets mentioned but he shipped plenty of big punches from big hitters extremely well.

How about poor old Azumah Nelson? Usually forgotten and not at all fashionable it seems. Gets stopped in his 14th pro fight by the great Salvador Sanchez at his peak in the 15th round with around about a minute to go after taking it to him all night. Countless fights and titles thereafter and fighting world class fighters in title fights until around 40yo and never stopped. That is wow right there.

Jeff Chandler took a good punch too. Dropped for the first time in his career in his very last fight and had a few nice little wars along the way.

One of the reasons why Ali is considered the best ever by many has to do with how hard he got hit by some big heavyweights and played like if nothing was happening.. He was out on his feet quiet a few times and not only survived but won the fight. Roberto Duran was a freak of nature... He fought so many fighters much bigger than him and got hit so hard but he just kept on coming until knocking them out. At the age of 70 or close to that, you see no effect of it as he reason and talks crazy just the way he did as a young fighter.. Top 5 of all times easy.

I think so. Ali had less technical vulnerabilities and cared more about being hit and eliminated his chances as much as possible (until later years when he would let himself get trapped on the ropes and get pounded). Two of the four knockdowns Ali got up from were flukes. Holmes was floored six times, all of them real hard, and he won three of them. Again, I'm not saying Holmes was tougher than Ali necessarily. Holmes was also a lot more willing to stand toe-to-toe with a guy, and rarely clinched to avoid getting hurt.

Who the hell underrates Eubank`s chin? Is was his best quality as a boxer proven v Benn and Wharton, he also went the distance v Thompson at cruiser proving he had a stronger chin at that weight than Haye did, I didn`t see Watson prove his chin much, Benn landed some good shots on him but most of Benn`s shots were landing on Watson`s arms and gloves and Eubank landed solid shots on Watson in their rematch but nothing too hard.

I think Benn`s heart was better than his chin, he was saved by a long count a dodgy ref and head movement v g-man, he was out cold on the ropes early in that bout.

Nigel Benn. Took all of McClellan and Eubank's bombs again and again and kept coming back.

The WBC rulebook suggested you are allowed 30secs to climb back from outside the ropes.

No, nothing too hard. Only an uppercut that very nearly ended his life.
