even if he kicks harder which is kind of questionable i doubt Khabib will react to those kicks if he didn't react to Barbozas kicks. There are guys out there who can take leg kicks like candy and Khabib is probably one of them.
Back in May I would have picked Khabib by 3rd round Submissions but after reflecting on the Tony fight and watching more of Justin's Career I've got this feeling that Justin Gets the win. What changed my mind was talking with this pro heavyweight at the gym I train at whose going with Justin he said. "I have Justin by second round ko Khabib will go for the takedown and get hit with a leg kick and make him hesitate once Justin gets him with 3 leg kicks Khabibs foot work will be compromised and he wont have the energy and he will mentally be too scared to go for a takedown again and then Justin will pick him apart on the feet and finish him" A lot of people bring up Barboza but barboza is not even close to being as good a wrestler as Justin. I think the first round will absolutely decide the fight if Justin stops the first 3 takedowns and lands those leg kicks it is over for Khabib. If Khabib gets Justin on the fence it will be a slow grind to either a late submissions or points landslide victory.
Khabib not having the energy? He mauls and ground and pounds people for fun. We don’t know how Khabib is going to be with it being the first fight back after losing his father and that is the only reason Justin has any chance.
Gaetjhe is extremely dangerous and matches up well with Khabib and if Gaetjhe wins it won't be because Khabib lost his dad, it will be due to being put under more pressure then he has been previously and possibly being hurt like he has never been. Khabib could be the most mentally tough fighter there has ever been and while i think Gaethje can win, i'm really just looking forward to seeing him face some adversity for a change,to see if his alternative plans,if he is unable to keep his opponent down or up against the cage.
Gaethje Decision win sounds a good bet right now. I think more likely though Khabib will come out and be as dominant as ever.
Have you ever been kicked in the leg by someone whose trained Muay Thai or any kicking martial art for a month? It compromises your mobility. Khabib is used to controlling the fight and making it on the ground when he wants if Justin can takte that control away from khabib by not succombing to the take downs and compromising Khabibs legs it is over for Khabib. Khabibs got decent striking but his striking is always to set up a takedown without that in play he will be picked apart by Justin eaisly Khabibs got a good chin but Justins got dynamite in his hands and can put Khabib to sleep. the idea that since Khabib eat 2 leg kicks from barboza that landed off balance while he was in between being taken down and mauled means he will be able to easily eat Justins leg kicks is ridiculous yall uneducated af watch this to learn how effective proper leg kicks can be This content is protected
No he doesnt. Even Justin himself admits Edson kicks harder. Gaethje is prolly the better leg kicker overall but he does it by breaking guys down through accumulation. He kicks very hard but not quite Edson level
I picked Justin decision. I think we see an ugly, scrappy fight and two rounds on the ground all for Khabib and three for Justin for a close decision win. Khabib is slightly overrated, looked fooked at weigh in, has lost his father who he was in thrall to, and was bleating about "psychological stress of being champion" to the media yesterday. If you can have an effective takedown defense for rounds against Khabib, you beat him. Quite simple.
Will those who think that Khabib will lose due to recently losing his father say so now. If you don't, please don't do it in the case Gaethje wins.
Gaethje looked good in places, Khabib is simply untouchable at grappling. I can't see any current fighter beating him
Man, Khabib fought super aggressive. And Gaethje had the perfect gameplan, which he executed really well. It almost looked as if Khabib being so aggressive paid off for him. If he had taken a more measured approach, Gaethje would have kept his composure and just kept chopping that leg.
