just seen he’s signed with Matchroom.

Anyone know why he turned pro in July and signed with Hayemaker (around same time as Joyce I think?) but didn’t make his debut?

How crao was he for a so called olympian

No offence but he has nothing. No chin, no power , no strength, no ring iq..Massively Overrated skills.

Marc Leach the salford lad isnt even in his weightclass and he moved up and spanked him

It's probably the same guy who keeps coming back under different usernames and starting threads about Asian British fighters to say how crap they are.

I watched the fight and thought it was closer than the scorecards and commentary were suggesting. Not that I thought the result was unfair or anything.

Good amateurs don't necessarily make good pros. And some mediocre amateurs make top pros. It's a different sport altogether, much in the same way as 8 ball pool is to snooker. They are similar in that you play on a table and pot balls but that's where it ends. Snooker is far harder, requires strength in concentration and is played tactically.

That's right. First time I've really seen him fight and he certainly doesn't enjoy getting hit, and this was against a guy with a day job who's barely British level himself.

I'd be surprised if Ashfaq won a British Title tbh.

I think if Leach can somehow go full time he will have a very good career. Excellent talent with brilliant upper body movement.

People forgot that Leach was a top rated amateur too - not elite like Ashfaq but top 5 in the country each year. He won national titles - not sure if he did as a senior though.

Yep agreed and hopefully after that performance, he will now go full time.

First time I'd seen him and he impressed me.
